Greetings everyone! I have just returned from our 50th state in the union and can report that I did not find any Avengers on any of the islands. The WM inventory consisted of a few 1/18 109s and alot of 1/32 armor, fairly new versions, and a few figures.

same here for MA and NH states. I brought the SKU in and I'm not getting any results from anyone. I'm going to a new WM that is in NH thats a super WM and see what they have.

It's too bad that we can't cross check any SKU# against a particular WM store# on-line to see if they have an item in stock at any given time. That would save a lot of gas and time. Then again, no system is perfect. :?

I just got my avenger today, let me know if there are any surprises after I read the instructions so I dont break anything; I'm not a dumbass but if something can go wrong, it will for me.

The folding wings will be the area that can potentially cause the most problems. Follow the directions (both on the phamplet and the warnings on the plastic tray) and you should be just fine. The mechanism is actually very sturdy and doesn't seem likely to crack. Also be careful when inserting the horizontal stabilizers. Some boardmembers have had the little tabs crack... You may find the turret ring to be a little stiff and it doesn't rotate easily - at least on mine. Otherwise, it is a surprisingly solid aircraft (even including the wings) despite its overall size. The detail, as no doubt you've already seen, is incredible :D

on the other one the elevators are not weathered at all and landing gear door was broke, so i will put all good parts on one and do a custom with the other one :D

You get the wing action quite suddenly, I thought it would be a little more complicated. My rear wheel locks down quite firmly, do you simply push it as hard as it takes to retract it, I didnt see a release anywhere. I couldnt stand watching the bump and grind of the prop trying to rotate, so I cured that with a tiny drop of oil.

Several years of hearing and waiting for this and its......here... whats next? OK, just kidding

I think its great, I'll have to hang it and the torpedo, too.

I honestly am to dang scared to pull mine out of the box. With the kids playing basebal inside and a wife that hates my hobby,I am sure to walk in on a pile of plastic. It looks good in the box for now until I get my workshop set up.Oh and sorry for the off topic question but does anyone have a 1/18 bradley they want to part with either for trade or sell?Need one for a display set up.Thanks. I've been searching and searching the entire Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex and have yet to see a single TBF......Just my luck I live in an aviation rich environment (even Admiral Toys is nearby)....and nada, bubkis, zilch on the Avenger. Anybody else in these parts had any luck?

Seems like the avengers are dispersed thru-out the US along the I-40 corridor.Denton had some a while back based on posts earlier in this forum.I picked up 3 in Decatur Texas on my way back from Fort Sill.Good luck with the search.

Excellent!!! I'm really happy for you! Now if Sabrefan can get his, we would be just about set.

I sure hope Saberfan finds his soon.

  oh btw if your rear stabilizers seem a bit loose just add a dab of super glue to the outer hinge and work the stabilizer till the Super glue hardens, it should still move but not so freely

Tip
****Apply Super glue with a small tool or pin to the outer hinge of the rear stabilizer

*******try to apply it deep inside the hinge

**** Keep moving the rear stabilizer till the glue dries !!!!!!!!!!!
“If you don’t you will glue your rear stabilizer in place”
Rear stabilizers should move up and down but not so freely

I hope he (saberfan) does as well. I have not heard from him in a few days. AWD may have claimed it's first victim.

I still think it is very odd that the Avenger is not displayed on the 21st web site. The lack of promotion could be an indication that it may be a while before the next production run is released.

I hope this is not the case, as I don't have one in my hanger yet.

I'm really curious as to the status for the next production run as well... What paintscheme will it be; what tooling will be "fixed" from this first release? From what it seems, this first run was a bit rushed as 21c didn't correct some obvious errors - namely the screw-holes, missing nav lights, and the unattached pitot tube. I suspect that subsequent runs of the Atlantic Avenger and the repaints will have some or all of these minor problems fixed, sort of like the first run of the razorback P-47s with the odd canopy. The Avenger already is an awesome plane - and it has the potential to get even better!

With waiting for this avanger and the new mig having just been sighted at wal-mart. I was just wondering what the turn around time has typically been for these planes, from the time they first appear in store to the time they start appearing for sale on-line? Or have the planes varied in turn around depending on numbers produced, haulage etc

Saber fan in the club

Oh Sorry Paul....

You have to buy it yourself to be in the club. No one can buy it for you.... LMAO Be aware of the post partum depression that comes after finally getting the Avenger. It could be worse then AWD.
