I know BBi did like a weapons pack that you could purchase for modern military figs but is there a way to buy surplus WW2 weapons?
Any suggestions?

Bird - I would buy some early Dragon Action 18 if you can and some bbi Paratroopers. They have great weapons in abundance, and some good kit too.

There's also Marauder inc. They sell custom-made 1:18 weapons and other products. Most of the weapons are modern and they cater towards the GI Joe collectors, however, they have a good selection and at reasonable prices.
