1/18 Scale Wittman's 007
Hey Guys .
I have always wanted to correct the 21st and the Bravo Team Tigers.
Along with building Wittman's 007 Death Tank .
I have combined the 2 tanks and made corrections.
Bravo made a late set of tracks and 21st made the earlier .
It was near impossible to switch them out so I made corrections on the 21st set of tracks and main drive cogs.
I think they look much better.
Other than little corrections here and there I made the cage baffler for the muffler along with correct track links for the turret.
Grunt is now making these and on my next build I will use his.
I took 2 days for me to make my own !!!

Re: 1/18 Scale Wittman's 007
When I do the next one I think that I may start with the 21st and make all of the changes to that one only.
There was a LOT OF GRINDING AND SANDING to get all of the casted pioneer gear and Fiffel remnants off.
I ordered a few sheets of resin zimmerit and I will see if that will be easier than changing out the running gear and all that sanding.

Pickel all that work paid off, wonderful looking Tiger! Your detailed track links just add to it.
I see Grunt has the Tiger I track links listed on the Battleground Models site. Is he going to make full sets?

Fantastic work, Picklehaube
I remember from quite a few years ago Jnewboy making various custom Tigers by combining the 21st and Bravo Team models. You model looks very impressive, especially for only two days work!

It took 2 days to make the muffler cages and extra tracks.
I have over 60 hours into the build and painting.
Thanks guys for the kind remarks.
The next one I build I will try to add the Zimmerit to the 2st to hopefully cut down on the build time.

Re: 1/18 Scale Wittman's 007
Pickel have you found any add on zimmerit sheets by Attack Model or any other maker?
Its the best product if you don't want to make your own. It will cut your build time in half!!
You just cut, glue and its ready for paint and I've found that 1:16 zimmerit sheets will work very well
with 1:18...trim to fit.

I plan on using it a lot on customs.
I can use the same sheets on Panthers as well.
Just need to apply it on the horizontal plane. ( plain ? )

Re: 1/18 Scale Wittman's 007
Hey John,
That green is by Amo of Mig paint as well as the yellow.
I will check on the number on the paint bottles later on today.
I had to use Tamiya clear paint to protect the paint for the weathering step .
When I first saw this Panzer IV camo pattern I thought how cool it would be to do.
My paint skills have improved with time so I think I was able to capture it.
I actually goofed these 2 vehicle were supposed to go in my consignment post.
I have all my stencils and license plates made by a local sign maker.
Unfortunately the printing machine that makes my plates and instrument faces is down.
Being that I was the only guy who used the services of that machine, they are telling me that the money it will take to repair is not worth the pay off.
Thanks for the kind remarks guys.
