Series 3 Japanese? What Series 3? I just got Series 2 here.

the command car is re-released? Man - I'm already out of toy money...
Also while reading through some other sites - someone (I can't remember the site or name) stated that the PZ IV would be re-released with new paint scheme. (Not the RC)

So far Atlanta has the dodge trucks and second wave of japanese marines or third.

The S2 Command car has been out for a while - it first went to small retailers and then to Wal Mart with different figures. It differs from the origional Patton version in that it doesn't have the flags or the big horns on the fender and bears 29th ID markings.

I don't think there are any OMG Germans, Razor; just the 101st.

Speaking of which, the WM in West Lafayette, IN had 3 full pegs' worth of the OMG and S2 Japanese figs today, as well as 1 each of the new Humvees and 2 Dodge weapons carriers. Picked up one of the latter, gonna open this baby up right now! :D

I went to two different WM's in my area looking for the little 1/144 New Mellinneum Shermans and someone had gotten them all. It's like the case hits the floor and the Sherman's are gone that day. A couple of people at the stores told me that someone had also asked for them specifically.
Hey, I cleaned out the rack of M4s for you today at WM. Got about 8, drop me a PM if you want them.

As for the recon, it was Monroe NY and they had CCs w/ paras & WC-63s out the....and plenty of S2 tan M1025. They also had Eagleston, Eileen, Nightfighter 109, RC M113 (tan & nato), the 3 new 1/32 armor (stug, pzr IV D...) and some older "kits" - all of the above at full retail.

No figures which sucked. Also went to a TRU in Nanuet and in the way of figures they had an old bbi Seal and that was it. :?

OMG and series 2 Japanese has landed at my local Walmart. Was rather disappointed with the figures' heads though. I hate the paint jobs on these heads. They need to go back to the flesh colored plastic with just minor details and hair painted on instead of the whole head being painted. And the detailing on some of the Japanese figures is horrible. You get a decently weathered uniform, but the ammo pouches are bright and clean, WTF? Almost no detail on the rifle w/baynet. It is just brown with a little gunmetal paint. Walmart also still had 1 each of the Humvees and still had 1 WC51 that I had left there this past Sunday.

Found OMG, Japanese, and the new Hummers and Dodge truck today. First time I ever saw them. It was at a new store. All the others around have tags for these items but nothing on the pegs yet.

My bad, I didn't realize my location wasn't listed. I am in the Philadelphia suburbs. Found at WM near Neshaminy Mall.

Does anyone have a WM with Bubbletops discounted in their area? N. Alabama has yet to see one at all, any paint scheme would do...

I never saw the Bubbletop P-47s discounted in my area in central California. There was one store that had about 6 of them for months before the holiday season. The boxes (and planes) remained in good shape and were accessible, just they never moved. The price always remained at the $40 retail mark. After Christmas, though, they were gone, so somebody must have gotten them! Now that I think about it, I should have picked one up as the Bubbletop P-47 is the only XD plane I lack in my collection. No real worry, though.

Several of the WM's in my local AO have quite a few of the bubbletop P-47's but I also have never seen them discounted. :( Probably never will too as the FW-190's that were sitting on the shelves for so long were also never discounted. :(

Found new planes at the West Lafayette, IN WM today! They had 1 USAF F-104 and 2 Sahl 109s; I wonder which plane I missed out on :?:

Anyway picked up the F-104 even though I probably shouldn't have, but they only had the one and who knows if they'll get anymore.

Oh and this store also has had about 4 P-47 Bubbletops for awhile now, but they're way up in overstock above the bikes so I have no idea if they've dropped the price. They haven't moved them to the clearance aisle, though, so I'd guess they're still full price. Not that the clearance markdown necessarily would havce been much anyway, they've got about 20 or so RC Panzers and APCs at $49 :?

New planes at WM

Post by pokeyjtc » Fri Jan 27, 2006 1:53 am

Look what I found tonight on my WM recon in Houston, TX

Yes that is the S5 Seeman Bf-109 and the German F-104. I was under the impression that these planes weren't going to be released to WM and were going to be internet retailer exclusives. Guess they are trying to keep us on our toes. Good luck and happy hunting

You can see my other thread - I found the Bunker Hill Corsair & Tropical cammo Stukas at Wal Mart. I would rate the finds of the German F-104 and Seeman Bf-109 as even cooler, though! I wonder why the states west of the rockies haven't gotten an F-104 or new BF-109 scheme other than the S1 version yet? The Avenger sure as hell better get a wide distribution!

Either way, its very interesting to see all these new repaints suddenly showing up at Wal Marts :D

Wow - thank Walmart for Lay-away
I just drove an extra 10 miles away during lunch to Walmart in Union City Georgia (outside Atlanta) one of millions of walmarts here.

and found the M3A3 half track (winter camo) for $10.00!! :D
not even in the clearance area.
Now here is the best part - as I am very limited with toy money -
one Panzer IV H i think without the RC - I thought this was a european exclusive? as Ive never seen it. It comes with the 2 tank commanders one with the officer's cap.

I checked the 21st century website and they dont even have it listed with the 1:18 scale toys.
It is on laway so my questions are does it have dicast parts and does the turret come off?
also picked up the german open coat with the white helmets.
the tank was $39.99 - they still had plenty of the RC tanks for 49.99.
No stukas though - I was actually hoping to find them or a command car.

You probably found the S1 Panzer IV. It should look like this:

Image

This is not the European Exclusive. The Euro version came with the side skirts. The upper part of the tank hull is diecast. There is unfortunantly no interior :( Figures can be placed in the hatches, though. The lack of interior on this release was surprising, especially considering that many of the previous pieces (the Tiger, M-41, M2 Bradley, M113, and halftracks) had interiors. It is still a nice piece and at $39, you can't go wrong. The tank sold at many small retailers for nearly $60!

unless he saw the S3 Panzer IV that has been expected for some time. There was going to be a North American version with sideskirts.....with the other new repaints showing maybe it has arrived as well?

I can echo all Tman's comments. The 21c Panzer IV is a nice piece and much appreciated by armor fans.....except for the muzzle brake being on sideways (i actually think it's the whole barrel that is sideways....but whatever). :)
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

North American?

No it is as seen in the Pic above - The funny thing is I didnt see it right away thinking it another RC PZ IV.
Well I'm happy with the dicast body and a little bummed about the non removable turret - but that is why they made the RC right? :P
so we can gut them and add driver seats.

thanks for the pics and info guys
