Rare 1/18 21st Century Prototype Electronic Sounds Figure
All,
I rarely spend very much on one figure. Last Thursday was my Birthday and I was looking at Ebay. I saw a bunch of prototype figures listed. But I saw this guy and he was like nothing I had ever saw before. A later series 1/18 German soldier figure mounted to a black box and he is wearing a backpack with two buttons.
The seller: USARULES I had seen post many other prototype things on Ebay before and has a good rep on Ebay. So, I contacted him and asked him if it worked. He said no it may have a loose wire connection. I asked him if he would take less and he agreed.
So, it shows up at the house on Saturday. Opened up the box. I unscrewed the battery compartment and slid in 3 AAA batteries. Switched it on and BAM! It worked like crazy.
The first button has machine gun fire. The second is pushed, R. Lee Ermey's voice shouts out commands. It sounds like it may have been from his Mail Call TV show. I can't tell you how pleased I was it worked so well. Has anyone else seen one of these or have one of these?

That is awesome! I wish it had become an item in stores I would have loved it as a kid.

Darn, that's peculiar! I know there were 1/6 R Lee Ermey talking figures, I wonder if someone did some Frankenstein-style surgery to come up with that figure...
But given the guy's nationality, shouldn't we hear a Sgt Schultz voice saying "I see nothing...!"

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Tman and I were talking about it and they should have used a Marine figure with Ermey's voice.c44 wrote:Darn, that's peculiar! Glad it was someone here who won it. I had my eye on too. I ended up buying the 1:32 prototype lot that he had listed. That lot also had some 1:18 items including an unassembled and unreleased SWAT figure.

It is like the G.I. Joe ones but better looking. Those would have been interesting for sure. So much potential that was stopped by them closing.

That’s a neat piece. I had a bad experience with USARULES. He will never get another penny of mine and it suffices to say it’s no surprise his company failed repeatedly and went bankrupt.

When you get a chance, would you post some pics of the figures you got?
Especially the SWAT figures.
Thanks,
