Overall, the kit was near-identical to the Hobby Boss FW-190A-5 though it has some new retoolings and a few inaccuracies. The blown canopy is incorrect for Dortenmann's FW-190A-8 (which had the standard flat-back design) but was the only part available in the kit. The antennas on the underside and step-ladder are custom parts as they did not come with the kit. The model has been painted entirely with the new Mission Models acrylic Luftwaffe shades and clear coatings. Weathering used a mixture of sludge washes and Tamiya weathering powders. The Mission Models paints are EXCELLENT and if you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend giving the paints a try!

I tried some diorama pics to replicate the historical photos of the actual plane. Another time I will need to find some foliage to simulate the trees and make a more accurate diorama...
