Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I went all in Mayhem level on this one . If every stretch goal is met, it's a bargain, at just over $10 dollars a figure. Hell, if even half the stretch goals are met it come out around $14 a figure. Those prices for figures of this quality is a great deal, since these will probably retail around $25 a piece. These guys always come through. I have received every item I have ordered from their previous campaigns.

Great to see you back here Fritzkrieg, always liked your customs
Really like the look of these figures but I must admit, don't know much
about the Kickstarter thing.

Thanks Normandy. I've been on a hiatus as far as the military customs go.But when I get these in hand I'm sure I'll be back at it. As far as Kickstarters go, Marauders is a pretty safe bet. They have a good track record of fulfilling their orders for their backers. You just have to be patient,it can take up to a year, in some cases longer to get the figures in hand. To date I have contributed to 10 Kickstarters, 4 of which are Marauder Inc.
Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
Anybody know what to expect about the quality of these figures? How have previous Marauder figures been? Better/worse than 21st century or unimax?

@mudhen336
The quality is much better then the 21st Century XD figures. Better Articulation, less fragile, better paint apps, and sculpting. The factory they use for their figures produces the best quality 1:18 action figures in the market place.

Sweet! If we unlock at least one Stretch Goal a day, until the Kickstarter ends, we will get at least 2 factions, that have never been represented in this scale.

MP44 gunner unlocked! And it sounds like the news was that they are tweaking the german colors to be more accurate as well as having both early and late warr. Normandy you’ve been heard.

" Normandy you’ve been heard. "
That would be a first... I think the folks at Marauder know what they're doing.
The detail on these figures is very nice and tweaking the German colors can only make
them better. For the price, accuracy has to be part of the equation.
By the looks of the equipment shown with the German infantryman, they're off to a great start.
The helmets in the Marauder pic, one with the chinstrap over the front of the helmet and the other
without seem to be the most detailed 1:18 German helmets yet.
L-R Our War figure, 21st helmet on a FOV figure and an FOV figure with FOV helmet.
Of these three the FOV is by far the best and this is only a side view.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I agree, the FOV helmets were the best...The Our War helmets only fit on the tiny Our War heads. Half of the 21st Century figure's helmets were to small, but the 21st, with canvas covers were pretty sweet.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
The one thing I like about the our war helmet is the decal size.
They got the size (1:18) right, color is off but what the heck. 21st's is 1:16 or bigger .
21st
Our War
21st
Our War
I agree Fritzkrieg, the 21st camo covered helmets are well done.
I think Marauder is on the right track, this should be a great figure line.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I always favored the Dragon 1:18 helmets for the Germans when I was still making a lot of customs, and then FOV was next.
As for Marauder changing the uniform colors, I'm not too surprised. It became a rather forced point on many forums I visit, especially the GIJoe Hisstank forums. I figure they just became convinced that us history nerds know what we're talking about sometimes haha

A new stretch goal before the 'Green Soldier' has been added - USMC in late war camo. Will have to consider bumping up my pledge.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I am on board with this kickstarter project now. I am at the 6 figure pledge.
From the wording, I will have the choice of any 6 figures. Did you see the US Navy FMF Corpsman? Does he come with ALL the items shown (bandage, IV bottle, stretcher, crutch, sling and head wrap)??
Looking forward to seeing these come June 2019.

Yes Razor, he should come with the full suite of accessories shown.
They've removed the solid colour figures to make reduce the amounts needed to unlock the British, Soviets, and so on, though with only 6 days left it seems the momentum has stalled. Hopefully they'll be brought back should this first wave sell well!

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
The new order of the Stretch Goals is awesome. I know they could have used the funds of the single color figures to pay for the new tooling. You won't see any of the Big Corps sacrifice their profits like this to give collectors what they want.
Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I would have thought this would have had a lot more interest than the Valkyries or the K9/Exo suit Kickstarter. I think those had 600 and 800 backers. This thing needs to catch fire now. I have been wanting British and Russian figures forever and these things look awesome! Let’s go ugly early and get on board with this thing!

Maybe it was meant to be a child soldier the Nazis relied on late in the war.SolidSnakeEyes wrote:This is currently the only photo I can find online, but here is a Facebook link to the first pic of one of the German soldier figures. Unfortunately, that helmet is far too big it seems. It looks more along the lines of the M18 from WWI. Maybe someone has been playing too much Battlefield 1.

That is just a digital concept. The tooling sample's helmet looks much better.

Re: Marauder Task Force WWII Kickstarter
I'm guessing they removed the solid color figures hoping that people who weren't pledging because of them would make pledges and push this thing over the edge in the last few days. It looks like it helped *some*, but not enough. 4 days to go, so I guess we shall see.
