Peddinghaus decals/stencils- difference?

the 1 18 AC sheets shown on their site all seem to be stencils, they look like a decal sheet to me.... whats the point? plenty of youtube info on decals, stencils on models? basically nothing. What are you buying for 20-40 bucks?

If they are like some of the Archer decals, they can be rubbed onto the model or onto a transfer sheet and used wet like a regular decal.

Everything I've used from Peddinghaus has come as a decal and applies that way. Is this something different and do you have a link?

For instance, just search 1 18 me-262 on ebay and several items down you begin to see the peddinghaus stuff

maybe its just a decal sheet labeled as a stencil for some reason
