Motorworks Super Cobra snake re-released?

Post by Berkut » Mon Feb 10, 2014 6:16 pm

Quite a lot of the Motorworks Super Cobra snake heli's are getting offered on ebay.com = does anyone know if this is a re-release or just a 2005 old stock located by a dealer or something?

If it is a re-release; will then the Marines version will also be done again?

No it has not been re-released. What you are seeing, whether in Motorworks or 21st Century boxes, are old stock from 2004-2005.

Its really too bad as the AH-1W was really a great helicopter tooling, probably one of the best ever in 1:18 scale in terms of general accuracy, detail, and function. Hard to believe it will be 10 years old this year. Also hard to believe it came out around the same time 21c was making the P-40, FW-190D9, and P-47s, all of which were much more toyish in comparison. I lucked out and got a Motorworks AH-1W "Snake" version in 2004 and a few years later a loose "USMC Land Cammo" version before the prices skyrocketed.

Thanks for the info! Agree that the details are amazing!

The Camo version is better looking for me and think most people (expect Snake):P
