As the title says "Is it time for another collection "show us your stuff" thread?".

Lots of new guys on the forum, so show us, new or old or ancient members.

Awesome stuff

Interesting how multiple scales are common amongst these massive collections. :!:

I think you will see multiple scales a lot. As 1/18 dried up a lot of people had to go elsewhere. I briefly branched into 1/6 but it really wasn't my thing. Now i build and scratch build 1/35. There is just so much variety it keeps me occupied. I miss the heydays of 1/18 though

Sure, I'm game, as usual.. I'm keeping the 18th ac and tanks, the 21st 32nd ac and 48th 21st ac, but I've parted with most of the 18th vehicles, 32nd 21st armor and am trying to rid myself of the 144th 21st ac, but anyway-

Awesome collections!
Looks like 1/18th scale is making a revival of sorts - Not like the old days for sure, but with higher prices at least we are seeing better quality, and several new aircraft each year...Hope it continues!

Jnew.:

Right, the Wirbelwind is still not painted. It has a low priority on my "to do" list. Ahead of it is some 1/6 stuff I've tryed to find time for, and always new stuff. What counts for me is I have it and will get too it sometime.

That pesky real life stuff keeps getting in the way. Just lost 2 days going up to the VA hospital for endless doctors examinations for me to get compensation for Agent Orange exposure. Two more examinations in Jan, before they decide how much they give me. No question that they will pay, only how much. You'd think that money they will pay me is theirs!!!!! Scheezzzze. 8) More money for toys..

Pickel:

Your 222 is just out of range on my mixed scale shelf. The 222 is right between the 2 General Pattons and the 1/10 Jeep. I guess I'll move it over next to your Tank Destroyer and create a special Pickel section. 8)

It seems to me that a couple months ago, we had a similar thread and I posted pictures of my collection in my new house. Since that time, the general display has been updated and expanded. Afterall, I'm one person in my own house and finally have space to display most of my collection

Great stuff, Tman. 8)

Good to see you also have displayed some nice 1/72 jets as well, and a few Corgi 1/32.

Ha, ha. I noticed the open closet door after I took the photo, so now you get to see my wardrobe :P

The "white aircraft looking thing" is a 1989 vintage Hasbro GI Joe Crusader Space Shuttle. It uses the same tooling as the famous Defiant Shuttle. Next to it is a GI Joe Killer Whale assault hovercraft from 1984. Both are from the era of the realistic GI Joe vehicles and my examples are in fantastic shape despite each being over 20 years old. You can still track them down on eBay. I've got GI Joe and Star Wars collections that are sizeable, though nowhere near the extent of the small scale military items. I was collecting Star Wars and GI Joe prior to getting into all the 1:18, 1:32, 1:72 and other scales.

Jnewboy: Yeah, that's a 1/6 88mm from a few years ago. Just couldn't really get into 1/6 scale. There are 3 of Jack's father's customs. The last was the Japanese custom and there was such a huge drop in quality from the P51B's quality which was early in Skyworks history to the Japanese custom which was late in Skyworks history. The huge drop in quality and the 6 month wait raised all of the red flags I needed to see that there were very big problems looming in the very near future for Skyworks. After that I didn't order again and sure enough just 6 months later Skyworks folded so I was fortunate not to get burned. I stick to 1/35 scale and 1/18 now . The Dora is what occupies my time the most as 1/18 is not very busy. Here is a WIP thread if interested: http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums ... p?th=48149
