Just Got Here.
Hey everyone, I'm new here on this sight and I just wanted to introduce myself. For years military dioramas have been a great hobby of mine. However I'm not very good at it but I hope that by admiring the work you guys do will help me get better. I'm looking forward to making a great diorama and posting it on here. Any advice where I should start?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Just Got Here.
Just dont stop! My stuff was pretty crappy, but I learned. I'm always learning, my work just looks better now.
I might make a tutorial on building a diorama. I'll try to get on that sometime!
Welcome though! Enjoy your stay, don't feed the animals!

Welcome aboard.
I do not do dioramas but I make things that go in them.

Re: Just Got Here.
Welcome aboard. I'm not a skilled modeller or diorama maker like the used specialists below, but found with them a lot of ideas (that could definitively flatten my purse). If you can't wait for flybox_fx's tutorial and also saw all pics here, have a look at http://store.foxholetoys.com/index.html. Matt from Foxholetoys is also a member of this site. You'll find in the collector's gallery some other examples of dioramas. Show us how you do it.

Here's a dio I plan to do a video on. I'll explain how I got it this far and how to do grass in detail. It has been sitting around for a WHILE! Soon I can maybe finish it! It is about 4'x4'

Re: Just Got Here.
Hello,
I have been having a blast with this site I have also learned a ton. I am an airplane guy, a life member and active particpant/volunteer in a first class Warbird Museum and still a rookie in armor and ground forces. I have not only learned a lot but have gained greater respect for the ground forces and their incredible sacrifices in preserving our freedom then and now. I have become a student of WWII Armor and am probably about in the third grade. If I ever learn a fraction of what some of these guy know, I'll be delighted. These guys have been great and I feel very comfortable here. Did I mention that I get a kick out of the smiley faces
Welcome & enjoy

Oldbreedmarine,
Have you been a Marine in the past (and forever)? As you can see, a lot of people of this board have choosen a mil smelling nickname... I'm personnaly a past 1st lieutenant (medic...) in a swiss airforce infantry batalion. I hope to have the opportunity to make a diorama with my 1:18 F/A-18 and a few soldiers with a real aircraft shelter in the background. It seems easier and less time spending than making a real 1:18 shelter that would be really huge...
