Okay, assuming that it is not the Avenger (and I'm not convinced that it isn't). It kind of makes me feel they are comparing the Area-21 with Area-51. Perhaps there is something new and secret going to released in 1/18. Perhaps modern? I remember in a past interview Roy mentioning that things like "Luft 46" products weren't in the realm of impossibility. Any other speculation?[/i]

Okay I've been studying the photos posted on Area 21, The second one after changing the size looks like an alien looking over a desk. There appears to be multiple exposures over an area of the desk. If you look at the darker areas on the upper right of the desk where the aliens left arm apears to be reaching forward, notice the darker areas around there and try to blot out the lighter multiple exposures. It looks like a small jet to me the darkish area near the wrist looks like part of a swept wing in the same shape roughly like that of an F-4 (not saying its an F-4 but it looks like it). If you can kind of extrapolate in your mind it would appear to be a 1/18th (Guessing since I have nothing to compare with size wise) size jet of some kind. I know its like one of those psychiatric tests and probably everyone sees something different, but thats what I see.

If anyone has Photoshop and is good at it, maybe they could do some editing. I tried yesterday, and it still looked like an alien!

I'm thinking an RC Foo Fighter with full alien crew in a box set with a B-17. Or a Roswell balloon crash dioramma. Or maybe 21C now has the X-files licence, and we get a 1/18 Mulder and Sculley

My son and I are examining it with Adobe. After some manipulation this is what I see, but its so blurry that anyone could possibly make something else out of it. I've tried to outline the shape as best I could to show what I see under the multiple exposures.

Kind of looks like a hidden F-4 to me.

Pardon the size of the image, I had a hard time getting it to upload to a Picture hosting service.

Remember this is just for conversations sake, I'm just pointing out what I see, everyone's interpretation will be different.

I see that too, when we enlarged the photo you realize that shape is a another exposure of the whole image reduced and layered on to the original, it looks like thats been done several times, but you are right you can see anything in there.

Morian Miner, those blue images are Photoshop enhanced. I switched the negative image to a positive and beefed up the contrast. What ya see is what ya get.

I know everyone will see different things in there, and it's an image that is really open to interpretations, but I want to know why 21CT put up a picture of my mom giving me a bath in front of all my friends! It's really embarrassing.

That IS what the picture is of, right? Um, guys...?

Its Project Blue Book!

Post by airforcecop67 » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:26 am

Anyone remember that series? It was Air Force themed, two officers investigating UFO sightings from the 50's, 60's & 70's. The Air Force supposedly chased a few UFO's during that time. Even lost a pilot once, he was flying a P-51 so........

A Project Blue Book Repaint P-51?

An ADC F-102 or 106.

But they are "phantom" images right so......

Two images = 2 Phantoms, 'Nam Navy & USAF. (A high vis VF-84 Rhino would be the cats a**)

Although the Avenger argument has merit too.

Ah hell, beats me, Im just guessing here, and havent even had a cup of coffee yet, so the wheels are turnin way too slow.

Whatever it is, they certainly took a lot of time and trouble to produce the images. Things must be slow around 21st HQ.

Luftpanzer, I've seen this site befor.... it gave me the idea to do the German ufo. That was back on the old Groundpounders site...about 4 years ago. My UFO was made for the fun of it.

I'm with Aferguson... Maybe Roy should let us in on this "mystery" Oh and cool graphic ! I've always like the work of Frank Frazetta........... but the Death Dealer  Somthin tells me Heads are gonna roll................ I'm still looking for a King Tiger in 1/18th 8)

Yeah Luft, when I posted that, I realized that I would be showing my age. Figured it would catch a few others on here too.

Actually, I used to watch the show all the time. Some great scenes of the early SAC & TAC days. Ah the glory of 100's, 104's, Dueces & Daggers, Thuds & Rhino's. All on the same flightline.

My mind even briefly explored a "Haunted Tank" themed M-3 in 1/18, but nah, the pics are too Roswellish for that.

Of course as I sip coffee from my official 562 TFTS Wild Weasel cup with "my" callsign on it (Grunt), I realize that I really do hope its a Phantom.

Of course I have the matching Beer Stein too. My buddy was the Squadron OPs O, and he placed the cup order when the unit was still at George AFB, hooked me and my dad up. The only two non-squadron members to get a cup & stein before the unit deactivated.

I gots to have a "Gee'sel"! Here That Roy?? Wake UP!
