First next armor full build be Ended?

Post by pickelhaube » Sun Jul 04, 2010 12:55 pm

Happy 4th of July to you guys !!!

I think it is time to start this poll. When done there will be a run off. I have listend to you guys and this will be built. Things may be different on this build. Which ever one wins I may have to take deposits before it it started.

Kind of a presale deal. If at any time you guys want to pull out. Your money will be safe and I will pay-pal it back to you. LESS THE PAY-PAL FEES.

So here goes. This is a peoples choice the winner will be built.

T-34
Hetzer
Sdkfz 7
Sdkfz 250 I will do the ammo carrior. That is the one with the hatchback look to it. Very cool looking. All tank batalions used them.

I would love to have a T-34, but $300 will be out of my price range.

I hear you my XD brother.

But there has only been 1 other piece Of Russian armor made . It originally sold for $350 and went down to $300. I have heard that there was 300 kits made and have all sold out. Of course it has been out for a number of years.

Each one of these will take at least 3 weeks to make the prototype. There will be about $30-$40 of resin to pour each one.

My eastimated cost of RTV will be about $450-$550 to make the molds. That is each subject.

It will take well over a day to pour one unit .

I do not think that any of these have been done in 1/16. Maybe I remmber another guy who has made a Hetzer. But if I am not mistaken he is way higher than the $300.

But you guys have heard this before.

$300 is a car note. But I do lay-aways so it is not as hard on the wallet. I would say about 1/3 of the guys who get these things pay that way and it is fine with me  :D :D :D

For my 2 cents -

Most of PH's potential customers cannot afford the prices quoted.

I would suggest PH stick to the variations of Sherman, Tiger, Panther, even the M-48. Adding a new upper hull to the existing lower hull and tracks. That would keep the price under $200.

It sure is close. I was personally hoping for the Hetzer.

But the 250 is cool as well :D

I was geared up to do the 163 but the bird on the wall told me not to do it.

A 163 will be built. So I took his/her advice and shelved the idea. Making a custom and having the big guys make it would be devastating.

It looks like the T-34 is ahead of the game.I will give this a a few more days and make the second poll for the runners up. :D :D :D

It looks like there are 2 stand outs.

So I think there is no need to exstend this poll any longer.

So I will start the run off.
