...that is a shame. Guess they had to make room for more refugees.
That Huey has an interesting stars and bars insignia with the yellow and red accents. I like it.
This will be the first JSI release I will likely buy. I only got the silver 21C Air America version and want an OD green one badly. Though maybe the prices will drop considerably on the old Hueys and I can get one finally. I like the Air Cavalry one with the sword insignias on the nose. Though the hog head version is choice too.

Which probably means they won't be releasing any of them anytime soon, as has been the case with their RAF/AVG (newest) P-40 tentative schemes. Still waiting for those to be released too...
The Huey looks nice. The light blue on the tips of the rockets is a nice realistic touch, but it's just another picture nonetheless. And that is something we don't have a shortage of in 1/18 (pics of much anticipated releases that never came to fruition, I mean). 1/18 is nothing if not a virtual scale these days. Lots of pics of non-existent products that won't ever get produced... at affordable prices.
BTW, keeping in line with JSI's new strategy, the chopper doesn't sport any markings whatsoever. Who knows, maybe they'll include some decals with the pilots? And, of course, there's the usual caveat/disclaimer: "Color scheme and style may vary." Ya betcha!
PS: The Huey in the above pic is South Vietnamese, hence the yellow/red bars in the markings:

What's the story with this one?Beeavision wrote:I was hoping they would come out with an extended version otherwise known as the UH-1H "Huey 2". Ideal for medical and troop transport ops.
