BBi Messerschmitt Bf-109G-2 question

Post by fightin » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:02 am

Hi everyone!

I am thinking of purchasing BBi's 109G-2.

As I already have one of 21C's Bf-109G-6s, I'm unsure about the differences between these two models.

Is BBI's version much different than the one from 21C?

Thanks in advance.

Quite so. Just to name a few of the differences, the BBI version is a Bf-109G-2 (without gun bulges on the cowling) while the 21c version is the later Bf-109G-6 with the bulges. BBI plane has an opening engine with all the details, a retractable tail wheel, correct antenna with wire and a very detailed cockpit. The 21c plane also has a detailed cockpit (though not quite as good as the BBI one) and does not have the correct antenna. Both have the same moving control surfaces. The BBI plane comes with a "midget" pilot, however, and it is harder to fit a larger correctly-scaled 1:18 pilot in the cockpit. I would get the BBI version as it compliments the 21c plane nicely without being an exact duplicate.

21C's later G models had the antenna and wire. My earlier Graf Starburst does not have the antenna and wire.

Mine doesn't have them, either.
