He does very nice work but if someone buys it they have more money than they need.

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Three thoughts come to mind:

1. See? Look at the bargain we get with the JSI F-14!

2. Hopefully the poor sap that spends that kind of money on said model doesn't know about the JSI F-14.

3. There are a lot better things I can get for $18,000.

That's probably the HPH Tomcat. They used to be around $12000+ and this may have some extra bells and whistles, or is just a big mark up. I've seen pics and it is very, very nice. If you had the money to spend you probably would get it. Super rich guys would buy it for sure.

edit: definitely HPH models. Here are some more:

Come on guys, the days of being spoiled by Wal-Mart prices and Monkey Depot Blammo sales are over. This is a much better indication of where the true market value of 1/18 scale aircraft should have been for the last few years.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

wow, these models looks awesome, but we can be happy with our 21C and BBI plastic models.
We still need more new 1/18 aircraft!

Obviously for the multi-millionare crowd.

No average working "joe" would ever buy one of these.

But,hey if you can afford it.
