First and foremost I´d like to congratulate the creators and contributors of this forum. It´s another great site for collectors to gather. Second, to thank all visitors who found here a/the path to our site. Thank you. Besides toy collecting, we (a group of friends) are fans of military history, so registering here was just a logical step.
Finally, to invite all to pay us a visit and check our military Chap Mei/ Lanard/ Auchan and so many other lines of 1:18 scale. And give us a help identifying the real vehicles behind the toy.
A good example of what you can find and help us with:

Ta-152, thanks for the info and I´ll be sure to make the reference when I update the "Deluxe Battle Tank" post.
popeye357, thanks for the thumbs up, I´m glad you like it and thanks for the warm welcome.
I hope everybody finds there something they relate to, info they been looking for, in a general manner, something which can make them smile.
If you can, and if you´re willing to, post some comments on vehicles you like or dislike for this or that reason.
Again, congrats for this great forum. Great stuff! Found lots of helpful info.

Hi again, guys!
Does anybody know where Chap Mei looked for inspiration to make this military vehicle?
http://jomitoys.blogspot.com/2009/11/so ... et_22.html
We all know they usually copy some image looks of military weaponry, so if anyone knows, you guys do.
Thanks again for your visits and comments!

Looks like they were inspired by the M20 Armored Car crossed with something from the second Mad Max movie.

PAK38, I see where you´re going. It kinda looks like the M20 body, indeed. About the Mad Max II, its a shot in the dark, but sure looks post apocalyptic.
Ta-152, that top "cannon" were also used in Firefighter sets from Chap Mei. Maybe they should have left it there. The cage reminds me of the "Aliens" lifters.
Thanks for your help, guys. We´ve been trying not to screw up some military definitions.

Hey guys!
Although this following combat fast boat is manifestly inspired in the 1985 "Cobra Moray -Hydrofoil-", I never discovered where the original was designed from. My understanding of boats is very limited (especially when compared to airplanes and infantry weapons) so any help would be appreciated... nevertheless, enjoy the pictures! It is a great base model.

I can´t seem to find any info on the MKs you guys refer to. The closest I ever got to something similar was the Police Fast Boats, pe:

Does this model has anything to do with those MKs ?

The III, IV and Seafox were all in service before DS, and could have influenced the Moray, and subsequently the Chap Mei.

Hey guys! Got a new interesting item to show you. It´s been stored for a long time, but finally reviewed there. I´ve been trying to identify it, but as before, seems to be a fictional APC based on existing ones.
