Looks like a repaint of a standard XD F-104 in JASDF colors.

Funny thing is I believe this was slated to be either 21st's S1 or S2 scheme... :?

Yes, I thought that 21c announced a long time ago that JSDF F-104 was a possibility. Good thing it never made it to mass retail, or 21c would have suffered their death all the sooner. The JSI repaint does look good, though.

The Huey and tanks are all exact 21c repaints.

I hope JSI will at least improve the armament of the Huey by adding the correct rocket tubes and miniguns......guess we'll have to cross our fingers and hope they do.

I've heard it will be the next re-release after the F-14 and that will be the first quarter of 2010.

Have to wait and see.

That JASDF F-104 looks really nice, but I've got enough F-104's, so I'll likely pass.

Got all the armor there.

I'll certainly be happy to buy that Huey though. I don't have a camo green one.
Is that the hoghead one? I don't see the gun ball turret on the front, though it might be obscured by the display.

It's not. It's the M5-less version.

The JASDF paint job looks gorgeous but I'm definitely gettin' a Huey. Missed out on them the first time around.

:? Doubtful. If the CIA Huey didn't kill them single handedly a JASDF 104 wouldn't either. Especially considering they're one of the longest users (over 20 yrs) of the 104 so historically it's a good choice. :) Mitsubishi made most of their 104's btw.
