From the looks of the packaging doesn't look made for mass retail, but rather collector's online market.
Surely these aren't the finished product with the different colored olive crotch area, and lower legs should be the same color as the rest of their pants.
Look more like prototypes.
All kinds of cool gear though.
I too wish they would re-issue the Fallshirmjagers, or something like them.

Hoss,
I agree. I'm not a figure collector but these definitely don't make me want to run out and purchase them. The box packaging is a little overboard in my opinion and just plain drab. Do these boxes come with manilla folders and tabbed organizers? Because that's what they look like...Office Supplies.
A far cry from the aircraft packaging we've seen.

Technically, wouldn't the overall package size be pretty much the same. They are even less taller in height than their blister pack counterparts. The gsm grade of the card could be thinner as well due to the fact that it is a monocoque type package.
I think the packaging should be less flashy, they are military figures after all (from the 30's and 40's era).
Is anyone familiar with the Nitto "Ma. K" Range?
They have a very "military issue" feel to them which is fitting, considering the subject matter.
My 2 cents

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

I'm giving these a chance if I am able to find them at retail, but at $7.99 they're pricey... And going to online retailers will likely make them more pricey than that, in many instances.
That will make me sketchy on these, unless they make it to a larger retailer for a perhaps slightly better price. I can take a price hike, but I'd be more likely to take it on something actually new.
I like the packaging, but I agree it's not really something you'd see on store shelves. I think a new card design, something nicer looking, but sticking with blister packaging (which would help price on these. That packaging itself has to be helping up the cost a margin as it's not a simple design from a labor standpoint) is what I'd prefer.
They're also advertised as being ok for "light play". They were just action figures before... This makes me wonder if inferior materials will be used. That's a little disconcerting.
Anyhoo, I'm giving them time to see what they're gonna do exactly. I'd like more Fal's to armybuild a bit, but beyond that I've got enough D-Day Paras thanks to BBI's guys. I'd take more of the basic rifleman perhaps if I got them at a fair price, but really I'm ok at this point.
