I would also like to find a stand[s] to display my WW2 warbirds gear up.A "cradle" is the best,as you can display different aircraft, and not have the stand be specific to one aircraft.
Would be a great idea.
I would definately buy at least a couple,if they looked professionally done.
Maybe two classes.One for P-51's,SpitfiresFw-190's etc.Single engined fighters.The other for Large models.Such as the P-38,Avenger,and F-18.
Just wishing out loud.
Aircraft Display Stands
Look at the various pictures of this ebay auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0414713293 a fairly presentable stand can be made with a hobby base and 3 dowells cut to various lengths and is very sturdy. JD

Glad to helpPa Deuce wrote:Thanks Phil - I was thinking of getting one for my Gee Bee Z. I took a look at their site and just a reminder to everyone - they come in different heights.
Here is some pics of a MIG on a iStand. As the MIG belly is round, you can put it on more position than a standard plane.
