Went to go get a second set of Platoon figures to keep carded in addition to the set I opened. I like to do that with my 21c movie-themed action figures as they are bound to be worth something in the distant future, especially for the obscure movies they represent...

The Platoon figures were discounted to $4 8)

I stopped at the south Kansas City Mo. Walmart after work and found the US Sniper, 30 cal mg, and the German Asualt gunner. It looks like the Assualt gunner doesn't have pupils. Looks sort of like a zombie.

I noticed that also, you need a fine point marker to bring him back to life.

Found tons of the three new figs at walmart today and picked up 2 sets. When I opened the machine gunner, his leg joint was stuck and when I tried to put on his helmet, his head fell off! The other figures were great and I managed to fix the machine gunner's leg, but I don't know about the head(I want to restore articulation there)....

Went to a super Walmart in Garfield Heights, Ohio and they had NOTHING in 21C XD or 1:32. NOTHING! Nothing in the clearance aisle, nothing anywhere in the toy aisles. Not any tags for it either! Couldn't believe it!!

It is hard to believe. Especially when it looked like their reset was done.

That is the best news I've heard yet  Welcome to what life has always been like in the west coast Wal Marts. You people in the midwest and upper south have always had it great with all your 32x releases, 1:18 dual packs, WWII gunners, Platoon figures, and so on. Now feel the pain of an empty, unstocked Wal Mart

Sorry, I do feel your pain, but I just had to say that

I went to the Buena Park WM to score some new 1:144 vehicles to go along with my 1:144 Takara Panzertales vehicles, but everything was removed. I've been scouting most Wal-Marts in SoCal and this is the only WM I've seen that did away 21stCT.

I think both you and I have been lucky having other board members send us goodies from the midwest promised-land. Don't bite the hand that feeds us Tman! :D

The Walmarts that I have been to around here have the new layout and still have the 1/18 figures, 1/32 planes and figures and the 144 planes. I have also noticed the new figures sniper, assault figure and 30 Cal are showing up at all the the local Walmarts.

I'm sad to post that the local WM closet to me has restocked with more Baboon figures(platoon) :x  Doesn't look like we'll be getting the new figures after all :( I'm willing to get platoon figures and trade with those who can find me the German dual packs(Werhmacht and D-day) or with the German assualt gunner or even the German Bruno figure ;)

Thanks,
General Blasto

The Walmart in Parma, Ohio had a few Platoon's now at $4 and a few Lt. Ludwick's at $4. Nothing more. No tags for duel packs, nothing.

Went to a WM off the beaten path that usually doesn't have much in the way of 21C; found the last few 1/32 items on clearance and the remaining 1/18 figures marked down to $4. I will try the other, more XD friendly AO WMs later this weekend.

Is this everywhere?

I have seen a few DAK machine gunners and artillery spotters scattered about, and in South Haven, I found a couple different 2-packs, but nothing exciting. The Benton Harbor WM has enough Platoon figures (still) to have won the war with sheer numbers. Apparently the movie doesn't have quite the following that 21st expected--maybe because it's more than two decades old?
HINT for 21st: next time you jump on a movie title to mass produce figures/toys, choose something relatively current and try to launch the products while it's in theaters, NOT 2 years later like Sahara, or 20 years later like Platoon...

Mt. Airy Maryland WM had XD DAK and Wermacht figures on clearance for $3.00 ea., I picked up a DAK "Erdmann" & "Moldenhauer" figure and a Wermacht "Bauer" figure.... not bad... 3 XD figures for just 9 bucks.. 8) They had some Plattoon figs as well, but I don't collect Nam' so I passed on those. It's worth noting that once these clearance figures are gone this store won't have anything left from 21C in any scale... :? Not a good sign... :x

Found the 1:32 Marder at Walmart for $4.50, and a 1:32 Playset (the one with the desert Stuart in it) for $5 on clearance.

That particular Walmart is not going to be carrying any more 21st at all, the toy stocker said. :(

The Walmart here in Strongsville had a good selection of XD-NO Platoons, still had tags on the J-Pegs all at full price, and some 32 and this is AFTER their reset.

I was up in Canada this past week and hit a local WM outside of Waterloo and came up dry with anything!
