I'd imagine with how well PTE sold through the last 2 years, that they'd get more in. I would rather they did so in August or September though, as I'm about to be broke this weekend, haha.

This is the place to watch because the PTE guys here or the Joe guy will likely post first when they hit the shelves:

Gordon Chin (CEO of M&C Toys aka PTE) posts here from time to time generally with a preview of whats coming.

I don't know if anyone is intrested, but I have 4 of the US cannons I need to let go of. It's the ones with the extra set of dolly wheels and has the electronic sound and flashing LED in the barrel. I need to make space for KTs and 88s (if they ever show  ). Da General

Oh yeah, I forgot. I'll check the Big lots down here for them next time I look for more GC figures to see if they are here for y'all ;)

I can't wait for this year's new PTE items to start showing in Big Lots....I really like PTE, especially their 1/6 stuff sets.
And my mini-me figure... :D

Checked the Big Lots in Stockbridge GA this evening and nothing new. Just some 1/18 PTE tanks and a large 1/6 set. I too am anxiously awaiting the PTE arrivals. I'm more interested in the 1/6 stuff too. My son has become interested in the 1/6 scale figures and I want to get him some of the PTE figures because they are great value for the money. I could use some of the bodies myself for bashing purposes. Some of the more recent ones have really nice head sculpts and the articulation is really good. Many of the uniforms are quite nice as well. I'm expecting price increases this year but hopefully they won't be extreme.

The 1/6 sets have really improved last year! Very good head sculpts and great articulation!! It would be something that after these GREAT improvements to this line, they would STOP making them.
The 1:18 line is one of my favorites too!! These figures have great articulation too!!

I've been watching the 1/6 PTE figures for awhile. I've bought a number of the 1/18 figures but mostly for sale on eBay. I've sold numerous 1/6 items over the last few years but I've just started building my personal 1/6 collection. I read 1/6 boards like OSW and the general consensus seems to be that these figures have mostly crappy accessories but fairly good uniforms and great articulation. I haven't purchased any of their 1/6 figures yet but I plan to get some this year if they put them out at a decent price point. The ones I saw last year were quite impressive looking. Some of them had really cartoonish looking head sculpts but some were quite nice. I too would hate to see this line get dropped. I think the hold up right now has a lot to do with the Olympics so hopefully they will start hitting shelves sometime soon after the Olympics end. On a related note I was in KB Toys Tuesday afternoon and they had the Soldiers of the World 1/6 figures marked down from $7.98 to $4.98. The sale is good until 8/24. I've bought lots of these over the past month. A lot of them are crap but there is some nice stuff included with some of them. I mostly part them out for sale on eBay but I've kept a few of the nicer items. All in all they aren't a bad deal for $5 a pop.

Well, tomorrow is Aug 6th and from the beginning of this post from last year, PTE sightings were going strong on Aug 6th. My wife managed to get to one Big Lots today, and NOTHING for PTE...NOTHING!
Doesn't look good so far.
Unless shipments or Big Lots are a bit slow...

Hopefully its just slow due to the Olympics. I can see the factories ramping up to try and cash in on the pre-Christmas shopping season as soon as the games are done and they recover from the hangover. :)

Went to my local Big Lots today and no sight of any PTE at all. I did notice that the Chap Mei aisle has been replaced with Power Ranger knock offs and Chap Mei is now condensed on an end cap.
Halloween stuff is being put out and Back To School still occupies most space.
I still have hope...

Same story here. I hit Big Snots yesterday and the toy section was pretty much empty.

i also did a recon of big lots yesterday and nothing here either.....the people at BL mentioned something about setting the toys after they are done with the Halloween sale period....but that would be much later than other years..????
I sure hope that that is not the case.

After the Halloween sales period? Hopefully that's a mistake. Many people are already Christmas shopping by then. Not everyone waits until the day after Thanksgiving to start shopping. I can't stand the damn lines and crowds then anyway!

for real? i remember seeing Holiday merchandise way before November.

like they got the "back to school" stuff, even though it's Summer.

oh well. i've been wondering how come we haven't heard anything. i mean Target already has some early Fall toys, like those $10 Chap Mei missile launcher or whatever they call it.

It definitely sounded absurd to me but that is what the lady at Big Lots told me....hopefully it is a big lots mistake and the items are available for sale sooner.....if not we may be in for a world of hurt....

Went to 2 Big Lots today and still nothing. One Big Lots was organized and clean. The 2nd Big Lots-in an older neighborhood, was just trashed! SHEESH! Don't the store workers care? I know they don't probably make that much money, but man, take some pride! Straighten the shelves! Whatta mess!!

I went to the Big Lots in Griffin, GA on Saturday. They had lots of empty shelf space in the toy dept and no 1:18 PTE stuff. The only PTE item they had was a single 1:6 Kawasaki motorcycle with figure. This one:
http://kramwartap.fortunecity.com/kawas ... eview.html.
It was probably leftover stock from last year. At $16 dollars it's an excellent value for the money so I picked it up for my sons birthday in October. On a side note there is a Bealls Outlet near the Big Lots. I checked to see if they had any interesting toys. Nothing 1:18 but they did have some of the 1:6 Soldiers of the World figures for $5.99. I picked up a few of those for eBay.

Toy resets don't always happen at the same time... In my BL's the last time I was there, there wasn't any resetting for the holidays done, so I'm not "paniced" yet that no PTE will be available. If we get to late September though, and a toy reset's happened and nothing was put out, then it's time to panic.

Good point, Jesse James!
Wonder too if the Olympics may have caused a delay in shipping?
Was fun though finding and buying all that PTE stuff at this time last year!
