Yea where is the kts & 88s they better come out this year.General Blasto wrote:I only agree with the other person that said, "what about armour???"
YEah, it's great if you like planes, but where's our KTs and 88s And it's about time for an Armoured car too, like a Sdkf 222 or likewise. I sold off most of my planes cause they take up too much space Da General

You're so damn right about this, buddy! A new manufactorer for planes won't help me getting a SdKfz 222, StuG III or a Jagdpanther. Or how about some new Fallschirmjäger? I'll keep my fingers crossed that 21st will be around for many years to come because there isn't any other company that I would count on to bring us these figures and armor.General Blasto wrote:And it's about time for an Armoured car too, like a Sdkf 222 or likewise. And again - it is spelled WeHrmacht, guys...

I'm still hope that Fov makes some fallschirmjägers & even a stug III when their new stuff comes out next year.MandaloreSC wrote:You're so damn right about this, buddy! That would be awsome for fov to produce a stugIII.
The thing is that i could see them making one too.

Your right General we don't need anymore shermans.General Blasto wrote:Good idea Stug
1/18th COULD use new models and figures
We've got enough Shermans, Tiger I s and Panthers now. If someone wants a different version, then add details or kitbash it. We need more DIFFERENT armour and figures. Maybe add Russians too, there was ALOT of them in the war Da General

The only good that's coming out of this is your collection of 1:18 aircraft is going to go up in value, long term.
It's the law of supply and demand. Expenses have climbed. It isn't profitable to make them at the previous price points. Now fewer people can afford to buy them.
Interest wanes because retail markets only really thrive on what's new but eventually, demand for the no-longer made product cycles back upward to where people are willing to pay and manufacturers start responding.

Value climbs when the 1/18 item is in the original package.
The rub is that when the item is in the box you cannot enjoy the item. I feel your pleasure is handling it and marveling at the workmanship. Saving the box after you have removed the item is of dubious value to somebody who is looking for a MIB item.
Unless big things change in China, maybe after the Olympics, I foresee material and shipping cost will kill 1/18 for the average collector. I can see 1/18 scale items raising to $200 and up when the items price themselves out of the toy market and becomes of interest only to adult collectors with deep pockets....

Wow, away for one night and see what I miss? I am thinking this is BBI tooling that has either been sold off to a new mfg or at least being sold under a new moniker.
Great news! That 109 looks great. And as for an $89 price point, the newest 21C AC (262) isn't that far off the mark anyway. I say bring them on!

AVIATORNUT.COM:
You posted earlier, "...the next plane will be different version of the zero and they are working on another plane that will make a splash."
I assume the new Zero is the BBI one announed by Badcat a few weeks ago. Is there any update news on the "another plane that will make a splash"?
Thanks

Do they mean a plane that lands in water?!
They did go big...
A PBY Catalina! It certainly would make a splash... in my bathtub!
Kidding... But it would be pretty sweet. Dream on...[/quote]

1/18
I see my 1/18 hobby like a flame on a candle, which burns fast and brightly when there is plently of fuel around, ie lots of products, with only flickering the rest of the time when new products are lacking. My worry lately, with the non arrival of the KT & the 88, the flame and hence my 1/18 hobby, is in danger of dying altogether. Please release them this year 21st, before i lose interest.
