Try looking behind the top-shelf headers over the top shelf that TRU has on each aisle. I lift them (just the military section) to see what they have up there as they usually keep them stocked. I have been amazed at the fact that the shelves were nearly empty or very low, only to lift the header up top and find exactly what I wanted or new release items they have yet put out.

Can I make a comment about BBI figures in my local TRUs?

They're not moving.

Lots of paratroopers and lots of the current wave of elite force guys.

Comments?

Has anyone found Lt. Lucas, the US 101st WW2 medic? I'm wondering if his mortar would work in the vietnam era

I found a 1/18 "Bunnie" P-51 at TRU today at lunch. I have been watching for this bird for some time now.

one of the TRU superstores had about 2 cases of D-day Normandy figures. about 4 different figures.

are these new? or re-release? or something that TRU hadn't thought of carrying until now?

sorry. i'm not into ww2, i'm into modern, that's why i don't know any of these. but glad i could share it to you guys.

Are you referring to Steele, Carter, Gordon and and one other figure whose name I can't think of at the moment? If those are the figures, they are re-releases.

Very interesting.. TRU certainly hasn't had any D-Day troops so far that I'm aware of. Did the cards specifically say "Normandy"..?

It's in St. Paul, MN. It seems to never run out of stock.

modern mortar

Post by forcerecon85 » Wed May 28, 2008 9:43 am

Can anyone ID the mortar that comes with the 1:18 desert ops support team or modern assault weapon set B? I can't find a good pic and would like to know before ordering it online. Thanks

I hate the "no posts exist" alert too haha

Found the new BBI D-Day figures at TRU today :D They are indeed repaints of the original four that came out a couple years ago, save that they are now all from different units. Included in the set are a 101st Airborne trooper (sans parachute), a 1st Infantry Div. soldier, a 29th Infantry Div. soldier, and a 4th Infantry Div. BAR gunner. I picked up the 101st AB paratrooper as I liked the looks of it. As I have plenty of the S1 incarnations of the other figures, I didn't get the rest (though I may go back and get the 1st Infantry Div figure  )

Here's a scanned picture of the back of the card, which shows the figure repaints:

BTW, the "No Posts Exist for this Topic" feature is annoying

Now if BBI can re-release some of their older figs, I'm hoping that 21st will do the same with some of theirs.

It'd be nice to see either new figures and/or old figures be released, but with NEW head sculpts ;) 8) Da General

I found these 4 BBI figures today at a local TRU. I went to scan them...... it came up price can not be found. Oh and there wasn't a price on the pegs. So I went up front and asked for help....after checking the computer the young lady comes up with ELITE OPS # 367920. "Give this number to the guy over there and he'll ring you up" OK so I did. :? $2.98.
When I got up off the floor, I gave him the cash and took my 8 new/repaints home. Nice ending to a loooong day.
