It took him THREE YEARS to build a 1/18 Halifax.

He must have been inspired by 21st Century's 1/18 Phantom.

Ok, how many of us thought we had modeling skills.

That is impressive.
Even in this current era of computer generated images I can imagine a herd of old-school movie special effects guys just dying to throw that puppy in front of a green screen.

The pinnacle of achievement. That belongs in the museum of flight in Seattle or in D.C. (an interactive display, of course). Unfortunately, Melbourne is a long way from either spot.

That is astonishing! I can't imagine the amount of hard work and dedication it took to construct such an incredible model.

I would have been very impressed if it was simply a static model. But the electrics and mechanicals? Astounding.

I note in the YouTube comments that this model is on display at the Ryedale Folk Museum in England. Sadly, it's on static display. That's a shame. But at least it can be enjoyed by many.

Amazing what can be accomplished with skill, time, dedication and resources.

Putting something like that together commercially for a museum display would run into four figures.

The man really loves his airplane and the story behind it.

Very impressive! I actually I was getting a bit bored thinking there were 10 min of static shots and turned it off just as the first engine started up so I had to restart it and watch the whole thing.

All it really needs is a puff of smoke from each engine at start up.

And to think I fret about the best place/position to hang my planes.

Thanks for posting that link. It put a smile on my face.
