TRU Recon Report - Apaches on Sale for $25

Post by Gunner » Sat Mar 19, 2005 10:36 am

Found the BBI Apache on sale at my TRU (Bailey's Crossroads, VA) for $24.98.

They had two on the shelf.

I left them both because I already have one and couldn't really justify having two.

So not fair :-( I never got an Apache, and every TRU in the area doesn't have any anymore.

Same here! But then there were a few gross inaccuracies that sort of kept me from it in the first place.

The only real gripe I have and it's really not a tough fix, is that the greehouse doors open on the wrong side of the aircraft..other than that, it's a steal at $25.00

Wow, all the TRU's here in So CAL seem to have quite a few...but they are blackhawks, not Pavehawks.

HollywoodKBL, have you seen the blackhawks at the discounted price? There's none (any bbi aircraft) here in Orange County at the moment it seems...

BHs are still full price. There are a ton around me - as well as discounted Apaches, full price M4s, Kiowas, Killers & S2 LBs.

Thank you! Went over to there and picked up one. There's one left! They had a bunch of Sherman Tanks there if anyone is looking for them. Also a TON of FOV vehicles.

I was shocked to find an Apache for $14 today. Someone had opened the box and one set of hellfires was missing. I bought it anyway. It didn't have any speacial tags on and came up as $13.98 on the scanner. I may have to go to another TRU to see if there all going down in price.

I got mine for 22.98. Not a bad investment if you ask me. I am pleased. I haven't seen the Kiowa yet.

For that price, I would get a second one. I resisted at $25, but I don't think I could pass at $14...

strange thing happenned at TRU today. I went looking for apaches and saw a BBI M1. First I've seen in a while and should have been on clearance. I scanned it and it came up as a $39 Sherman. I checked out the barcode and it said Sherman. Turns out someone put a sticker over the original M1 barcode. Anyway I checked the original barcode and it showed M1 $4. Since it was an M1 I pulling the sticker off. Has anyone else seen anything like this? BTW I haven't seen any more Apaches.

Found a couple of Apache's at $30.00 and picked them up. The best find was a LAV though. It was $3.00. Oh Yeah.

SWEET!

I picked up one at full price when it came out, then picked up two more at 50% off (plus an M1 at 50% off), so I think I'm set for armor, but at $3.00, I would have bought another, oh 10....

Centone put me onto TRU in Jersey City. A big, very old TRU stocked to the rafters. A treasure hunt.

Blackhawks all over (full price), M-41's at full price, but a load of them. Apaches, even a BBI Sherman (full price) but 1/18 Command Cars at 90% off. $2.50. They had eight, I bought five. Gotta love those CC's. I'm gonna have them in every room, now I gotta find a supply of 1/6 CC's.

They won't get my plastic until they pry it from my cold dead hands.
