Dry on the 1/18 stuff as always, but I did find all the 1/6 weapons sets on sale for $3 :D I picked up a few MG-34 sets and the M1A1. You can't beat that with a stick.

The Benton Harbor, MI WM has about 15 two-packs, and a handful of Platoon figures--I bagged one full set but don't know if there is another full set left or not. Other than the figures and the King Tigers that have been warming the shelves since just after Christmas, nothing new.

Just kidding about the King Tigers, guys. Couldn't resist--but come on, 21st! We're dying of starvation here--throw us a bone!

My local Wal Marts are currently devoid of any 21c items. It seems the resets are taking place... Kind of depressing, but I hope there's some new goodies in a week or so

check your WM's each one seems to put 21st items on clearance at different times -
Found 1:144 planes at .50 each at one store and on clearance for a penny higher at another - plus be careful when the prices change they like to keep the older cheaper prices on the shelf - but the item will ring up the new higher price -

I got the first two two-packs in my area as well this evening... Two pegs for the two-packs as well, mostly full, but had been a little picked over. Seemed like mostly the US/German sets were bought while the German/German sets were still there.

For now I only got one of each, but at $8+ a set, I'm going to be hard-pressed NOT to buy more when I have a little more disposeable income. Pretty sweet little sets, and better paintjobs.

I really REALLY (TKO, are you listening?) wish 21st would make ONE body for any given uniform style...

IE: One US D-Day body with suspenders/belt, and ALL gear plugs into it, including ammo packets. This would allow for proper ammo going to the proper figure. IF they'd make it standardized, they could also make sure any figure could hold ANY ammo pouch (IE: the basic German body could hold K-98 pouches, or MP40, or MP44 ammo, and all would look normal).

IMO this would save them money too... One tooling for the body, and you can put on M1 ammo, or BAR ammo, or leave it blank and give him a satchel for Thompson ammo... It just makes sense to me. Then the cammo smock German body, done the same, etc., etc.

It also might repaint better for Panzer or other outfits...

It's a thought. I think it adds versatility.

The sets are nice though, well worth picking up 5 or 6 of each IMO.

Anyone know how long it takes walmart to reset or restock a section? My local wm has had the reset sheets hanging from empty pegs for 3 weeks now. Oh and the only 21st stuff is on clearance.... 1:144th half off. I have to be able to see it if I'm going to buy it. :P

WM's vary by store (and subsequently, their department leaders) as far as resets go... For instance, the store I found the 2-packs in last night, it reset that aisle because the XD stuff and other similar toys were moved to the back aisle, and now the front aisle is all die-cast...

The next aisle over is sorta half-assed reset in the front, but it seems stock is low or just not out yet, and the back aisle hasn't been reset at all, and it's still all Star Wars and things just before Christmas... Nothing really changed, yet, but hopefully soon.

Freaking attrociously slow, but it oculd be that the stock just isn't in...

Take a walk back through your lawn/garden area sometime though and see if you have a section of stock backed up. Mine's getting that way, and that's a good sign of resetting usually. I try to eyeball Hasbro cases and things if I can. I see toys back there, so they're working on the area, they're just real slow in my store...

Other stores haven't even started a reset, while others look like maybe they aren't going to reset at all, and are just restocked in the same format as prior to the holidays. That happens too.

Target's much more uniform... More reliable to see the same thing happening across the board with that one.

All are better than K-Mart. :)

Nah, I am just pulling the board's collective leg - General Blasto made and sent Mr. T to me. The pic doesn't do the figure justice. He even has the SGT. stripes and gold chains round his neck like the real Mr. T. I am going take him out of the package and get action shots of him to replace my signature photo below. Thanks - General Blasto!

The Battle Creek Walmart had about 17 of the new Platoon figures and 3 of the new dual packs. About a week ago there was a peg full of the dual packs, so they are selling pretty well. They also had two Huff F-86's.

So...are we going to get a 1:18 Huey from 21st, since it's advertised on the backing of their Platoon figurines?

I love it when boardmembers report "nothing new" in the Wal Marts in their part of the country, and the items found there have yet to even make a showing elsewhere
