let us collectors and fans of FoV products , decide that for ourselves
I agree. I will be getting at least one or two of the FOV Tiger's to repaint, and unless 21C is going to step up and offer something new or better, then the FOV model looks pretty "collectible" to me. At least one Target store in my area is undergoing an obvious post-holiday "reset", ALL the BBI stuff is GONE and only a few FOV Abrams and Bradleys remain, so I'm fairly confident some new FOV 1:18 items are going to appear very soon, besides... I have a couple Target gift cards that are burning a hole in my pocket...

Anyone heard any news on the 18th scale FOV Sherman tank?

it may be the case that the tiger came out now and will again next fall while the sherman will come out in the spring and since there are no figures either i expect them in the spring too. The tiger may have just been released earlier than planned/intended.

Went back to the Target in Kearney Mesa (San Diego) and picked up the last Tiger and a BBi Apache(sp). Both were on clearance for $20. They weren't two days ago.

I got the M1 and a shark-mouth Apache for $20.88 at the 290 Target. They weren't marked down earlier in the week.

That ticks me off that I paid $30 full price for the FOV Abrams-desert after Thanksgiving. Since the FOV 1/18 vehicles were new, I didn't think they would be "clearance" for some time. However, last week I was at the same Target I bought my Abrams and looked at the new ones---all of the Abrams-desert tanks had large "clean" streaks in the weathering on the left side--which is the side I look at. Maybe I'm lucky I got a good one at $30.

Are the Bradleys on clearance, too?

Found my shark mouth apache today - !!$20.98
This store did not have the sharkmouth's a few days ago - and now had four plus two of the older scheme - they also had 6 abrams - three of each scheme about 6 of the bradleys at 19.99

I found one FOV Tiger at a Houston Target. They also had about six Bradleys and no Abrams. The Tiger looked like toyish so I didn't buy it.

They had about a dozen BBI Hummers, one LAV, other vehicles and no BBI Abrams.

Found American and German WWII FOV in 1/18 scale today @ Target!
This was in a Target east of Cincinnati.
Went looking for FOV Tigers and found these:
Image
I have not open any up at this point, but will and take some pics to post later.
Just looking at the figures through the plastic then seem to be better than the original photos on the Tiger box.

Nice and varied weapons and equipment: P-38s, panzerfaust, panzershreck, MG 42s or 34s (not sure), Bazooka, German stick grenades and US M2 pinapple grenades, Lugers, Colts, KAR98s, M1 and M1 carbine, BAR, Thompsons and nice looking accessories- wood ammo boxes, fuel cans, maps etc.
It's a HAPPY NEW YEAR here at Razor's bunker...

Looking good Razor, sweet find.. 8) The head sculpts remind me a little of the Dragon action 18 figures.

Wow! Those do look good! In many respects better than the 21c Germans. The accessories are a real bonus as well

It seems Razors not the only lucky local to find these new figures. MG-42 stopped by to show me his new finds today. I’m completely jealous! Luckily he found one duplicate and was nice enough to let me have it for free. He asked me to post some pictures for him. I think he managed to get a complete set of all the figures. I really liked the Germans and the accessories are great.

Target is just like walmart and TRU. Products show up in different parts of the country and are void in others.

Awesome! Great recon guys. :D
I have to say the US guys look better than th Germans! And I agree all the extras are a great touch. I also like that the German packs aren't all uniform like on 21C. The figs are still a bit toy-like but overall look great!

On a side note, I think it is safe to say nothing FoV says on this line can be believed until they show they know what they are talking about. I find when a large retailer is involved - like WM and 21 used to be - the stores are in control and the manufacturer is sometimes last to know about distribution, etc. I remember at the Feb Toy Fair a few years ago one of the Merit reps said the Kiowa would be out in April and was shocked when I told him he could walk down the street to TRU and buy one that day. :P

Help on uniforms

Post by parrish333 » Wed Jan 02, 2008 10:09 am

Question for you uniform experts out there - are the US uniforms on these FOV guys accurate? The green jacket/brown pants isn't one I've noticed before.

Anyhow, they look like great figures!
