Last wee, kend I finally broke down and bought two LAVs for $17.98. I was planning to wait for them to come down to the $12.98 price but thought how upset I would be if I missed the boat. I am glad I did because all of the stores I have been to since are not only cleared out of BBI clearance but damn near all other toys. The aisles are totally destroyed and it appears that people are buying everything they can get their hands on. I bet even the Homies, talking parrots and god-forsaken horse w/ pen are sold out!
Glad for once I did not miss the boat on this sale.

The Abrams are gone in the stores ive checked - althought the FOV Abrams are restocked in some stores - the bradleys don't seem to be moving.

Went to two Targets this morning. Interesting thing is there were 4-5 pegs FULL of BBi figures. One had only one peg of FOV, the other only had 4 FOV figures. Bad for BBI, good for potential clearance fodder in January.
And to reply to Stuka - yes, all went on the pegs.

well
I think nothing in our hobby is ever 100%, especially with bbi as they have a very strict policy of limiting the information they provide the public. Mike comes around very rarely, and is not to forthcoming when he does.dragon53 wrote:Again, has it been 100% confirmed that Target will no longer carry BBI?
If so, is there a timeline for Target ending sale of BBI merchandise?
A few people have heard the fov has replaced the bbi (for now). I think it is safe to say that if next Xmas Target asks for a big batch of Elite Force, bbi would be more than happy to give it to them.

Just found 1 BBI Tiger tank at my local Target here in north Dallas. But since this is the season of 'giving' and I am all spent on 'gave', I did not get it, but I did try the old-hide-the-toy at the back of the BBI M1 tanks hoping that would spare it until I have the funds again!
Wishfully thinking on my part.

.
One of the TRUs here in Atlanta must have found a box-6 or 8- in the back of the BBI daisy june corsairs, 8 or so suddenly appeared. I dont have this one, but its nice to know at least one should be there if I ever change my mind.
.
The Christmas traffic has been moderately good for old XD 1/18th at TRU. I've noticed the donald duck P-51s and corsairs have moved well- also the level of last minute male customers present during the season may have alot to do with it; maybe a good opportunity for more Xd/BBi converts.

No, Target is quick on the clearance trigger. Toys you see on the clearance rack at 75% off are back on the racks within a few weeks, many times. Best example - Pirates of the Caribbean figures. Those have hit the clearance racks at least twice now. Best example I've seen of Targets bizarre clearance - a few years ago I bought two packs of LOTR figures at 50% off, and it was the first time they ever hit the shelves.dragon53 wrote:MORIAN MINER:
I wonder if that is more evidence that Target is dropping all BBI products. A week ago it was BBI vehicles on clearance, now it's figures.
I was at Target on Saturday and they had a few BBI vehicles and helicopters, but lots of figures.
No, what's bad for BBI is the figures hanging on the shelves for the last few months with little visible movement, where you actually see people buying the FOV stuff. Who knows? We'll see in the coming months.
Now, to find a clearance Apache

Another Houstonian!
I saw the BBI stuff at a Houston Target on Saturday and they weren't marked clearance---they were with the FOV stuff.
One poster said previously, Target's clearances are certainly random. I always thought "clearance" meant the store was getting rid of merchandise PERMANENTLY. Merchandise with a reduced price that will be continue to be sold is marked "sale".
