The light?? It's a freakin' deathtrap..

First they came for 1/1
We remained silent..
For we could not fit a Tiger into our spare room.. Nor would the wife allow us to park it in the back yard, not even behind the shed..

Then they came for 1/6th
We remained silent..
For we would not shell out $50 bucks a guy..

Then they came for 1/18th
and we cried..
For this was the sweet spot. The wisdom of Hasbro had proven this in the 70's and continues to do so.. We enjoyed fully articulated figures, vehicles big enough to hold them, faces that did not look like zombies, accessories that were not welded to hands and turrets.. but we digress..

When they come for 1/32nd..
Who will speak for you...

Hold your ground lads!!

XD started this mess and by God we are going to finish it!!!

I remember in my early modeling days when 32nd scale was considered big. I mean we had 72, and 48 scale, and when I got a 32nd scale it was a whopper. Do you guys remember the 32nd scale F-4 Phantom, that thing was huge! :D

Look I will always stick to 1/18 for the "wow" factor, but it is very frustrating to see the array of 21st product in the 1/32 scale and we are left at this point with repainted figures and Pak40, both of course I will snap up. Every day that goes by now, suggests the KT and 88, will not arrive in time to justify as Christmas spending. No doubt these will become 08 purchases unfortunately. On the postive side, every 1/32 offering is capable of being duplicated in 1/18, as it is obvious 21st has the design talent, therefore assume it is the blasted costly moulds that holds them back. It seems along time between meals for 1/18 collectors, but life is full of surprises, so how about it 21st (Roy), lay one on us, to spur us on.

If I wanted unposeable, static, action figures, I'd buy me some 1/32... But then you've got models and things in that scale, and you just open a huge can of worms. It's 3.75"/1:18 scale for me though...

And the repainted PAK 40 is sweet.. And a King Tiger, and an 88, and hopefully some US artillery soon, and more figures... 1:18 isn't hurting THAT bad guys. Just remember too, every 1:18 figure you get is probably worth a whole set of 1:32... Much more complex from a design and labor standpoint, so I dont' feel slighted.

Sure wish there was more though, but all in good time I hope.

The year isn't over yet. The KT & 88 are still scheduled for 07. As promised you guys will see new photos of these pieces in the forthcoming news. Urgency has been placed on most of the new releases thus far due to the fact that some pieces are shipping out right now. The KT & 88 are going to be in Dec, based on my most recent conversations with 21st.

I can hear the rumblings of the KT tracks from afar. Hopefully not too far. Hope the 88 is tagging along with it too. :D

Never buddy. I made the decision about 3 years ago that it's 1:18 or nothing at all. I sold off all I had in 1:32. There's no going back once you go big!!

Yep! you guys heard correct. Today (read: this afternoon) will be the first of 4 new 1:18 scale figures to be announced. These have been built already and the images shown today will be final product in the package. ETA on these hitting shelves is sometime in November (2007).

There is also some rumors of additional figures for 1:18 besides the 4 that will be show. However I get the feeling those will be early 2008 realeases. Everyone hang tight for another couple hours while I get the next article ready to go!

Okay, all 4 vietnam era? :? :(

Sorry, not happy. I like the Platoon figures, but why more vietnam era figures? I think WWII figures have always been much more popular than vietnam figures. Sometimes I don't understand 21st.
And again - it is spelled WeHrmacht, guys...

Yeah, I understand you. I'm happy for the vietnam era fans.
But I think it's a little bid unfair that all the latest WWII figure releases have been almost completely recycling parts, while this figs are completely new sculpts. Also I have the year 2002 in mind when the vietnam era figs were unsuccesful at TRU and were quickly discounted, sold out and cancelled.
And again - it is spelled WeHrmacht, guys...

We've waited what, about 6 years, for more VN figures so I'm very excited about these. Will get at least two of each.

Looks good. And good to hear they are on the way. Any ideas if this is to Walmart, TRU, or both?
