Honeymoon over

Post by sarge » Tue Oct 02, 2007 9:12 am

When the lone TRU in this area started stocking 21C again 3 mo.ago they only had a few extreme wings and some tanks. Today they have even less, some 144th planes and a few old weapon sets. The rest of their shelf space or what used to be their space has been taken over by BBI,FOV and GI Joe. Same story as WM "It's up to the buyer". I ain't even wasting my time going there any more. :? Don't know which areas 21Cs talking about on their web site as to being available but it's not in this area. :? No one, WM or TRU has had any new 21C stock for quite awhile.
I'm just curious if other areas of the country are basically the same or if they have a fairly decent assortment of 21C? Have a good one. Sarge

well BCA has the trailer marked for $19.99 on preorder so I went with that as the TRU's here have yet to stock it.

XD ac are all 25.00 as everyone well knows by now. One store currently has them at 20.00. The BBDs, sabres, smoke IIs are all gone, just endless leftover chinese, russian, nk migs; old crows, canadian and george 104s- at 20.00, I may finally have to come off the hip for the george 104- price trumps space every time..

If you take a chance and wait a little longer, some WM's will discount even further. I found some planes clearanced at $15 at a Northern, CA WM.

What the heck is up with all the Nor Cal TRUs getting in the good stuff? Both the TRUs in my area have NOT gotten in the trailer or the Pak 40 as of my writing this message, though the items are aparently elsewhere in the state. The newest military items have been the repainted 1:48 Panzer IVH and the 32x Long Tom cannon. I don't really care for the trailer (though I would like to see it in person) but the Pak-40 is a must!

Guess I'll just keep waiting - and luckily the FOV 1:18th vehicles have made a very strong showing over the past week

I hope the TRU distribution isn't going the way of WM.

Speaking from in between these two AO's, my TRU hasn't received the PAK's or the Trailers yet either. They still have two PAK40 Halftracks, but I haven't seen anything new in weeks.

The TRU nearest my house has had the same 6 DAK officers for the last month and a half and not much else.

Well, 21C wasn't kidding about the VN figures being close to ready. I walked into a TRU today and they had three of the new figures on the pegs (Mustang, Bonehead and Six-pack). I don't know if there were more there before I arrived or not. They may have had all four.
They look good. I am more a small scale guy so 1/32 is more my thing, and I am more a WWII guy so I did not pick them up for myself. But they are out there now. :D

Awesome! But why do the Midewest TRUs get all the goodies as of late (trailer, Pak-40, VN figures)? My TRUs have not restocked practically since the intital wave over the summer. I'm still waiting hopefully. Glad the VN figures are at TRU, though

What Toys-r-us did you find them at? I live in Battle Creek, and our tru has been gone since the shutdown of many stores, but sometimes I get over to the Kalamazoo one or up to the Grand Rapids store. I think there's one in Jackson too.

There is also the TRU in Mishawaka, IN, which is probably closer to Battle Creek than Grand Rapids. I don't know about the Vietnam figures, but they did have the new PAK-40 when I was down there a couple weeks ago.

I found 4 NAM figures here in Wisconsin. Bad paint job though...Poor quality in my opinion.
