Just called up Merit International about the new hellcat, they said its up for pre-order to hobby stores only and that it should be available by late December...

Interesting that it says First in the "Merit Exclusive" series of bbi Elite Force Aircraft. Only 2000 produced?

If TRU is going to carry the Hellcat, I guess it is safe to say there is a third paint scheme in the works after reading this.

Think I know where that cool looking new F-18 paint scheme we saw at Comic Con will show up now. Mike did say it was going to happen.

Wonder what this might mean for the future with bbi's 1/18 Elite Force aircraft line?

The S1 Hellcat will be the one that is the general release and goes to TRU and other etailers. No news of an S3 Hellcat at this point.

Very cool paint scheme but I will wait until BBI comes out with a Hellcat in the markings of Minisi III the mount of Commander David McCampbell. Until then my current Hellcat is enough. But again very cool markings.
