JSI F-14 in kit form?

Below is the the responce I received from JSI/Merit Int'l about two weeks ago. I have since asked about the price, the pilot and RIO along with the deck vehicles shown at various toy shows. I hope to hear from Tony soon. I know he is very busy and contacts me when he can. I will post something as so...

I say cut it. I agree, make things easier on yourself. I also think it looks a lot better without it. As an option you can always include the piece if someone wants it. Keep up the great work.

F-14 Kit

Not a problem. I'd rather have the correct pilot in the seat since I put out the money for the F-14. I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I know more.

F-14A Kit

For those of you asking about the pilots. When Tony gets back to me on the price of the kit I'll ask about the pilot and RIO release date and cost. I'm hoping to hear from him soon. Come to think of it, I'll ask about the support vehicles they have shown duing a couple of the toy shows as well.

F-14A in kit form

I left a message for Tony to see if he had an idea of the price of the model. I'll pass on the information as soon as I hear back. I am already gathering data on possible conversions and what color schemes and markings I want to represent.

F-14A in kit form

I think this kit will take off for a number of reasons. I know as a model builder the challenge is awe inspiring. I know as a collector it can fill a gap in my collection by allowing me the opportunity to build a late model version. I also hold the belief that some of the companies that make convers...

An answer from JSI.

I finally received an answer from Tony at Merit Int'l regarding the JSI 1/18 F-14 A kit. So here it is for all you non-believers. Hi Rudy Thank you for your email inquiry about the 1/18 F14A kit. Yes, a kit version will be released around June/July. Right now we are determining how much parts need t...

JSI F-14 in kit form?

I have not heard anything back from JSI as of yet. I sent an email to Merit Int'l to see if they had any word on the kit. Still keeping my fingers crossed.

JSI F-14 in kit form

I saw that Fightertown Decals is in the process of making aftermarket decals for the 1/18 scale F-14 as well as the already produced decals by Skyworks Toys. I also saw that Skyworks is in the process of making replacement landing gear. If the kit does happen it looks like we will have plenty of upg...

JSI F-14 in kit form?

I'm still waiting for some sort of verification that JSI plans on making a kit. I've already started making notes and collecting data on detailing the F-14 should they give the thumbs up on a kit. I have been considering disassembling the F-14 I have. I'm not holding my breath for the kit, however, ...

The JSI kit

In my opinion I think the kit form would be the way to go. I've been building models since I was a kid (many moons ago) and I would love to get my hands on one. I can't think of a better way to personalize a plane. You could make a showcase model that would be the flagship of your collection and hav...

I looked at the decals and I agree with you. Once I have some time to do a repaint on the F-14 I may give it a try. I like the black bunny.

My father was in the navy for 20 years. He served in Korea and did two tours in Vietnam. I lived on bases and have always been interested in the military. I've been a police officer now for 30 years. 30 years ago I had to make a choice between the military or law enforcement. A job opportunity prese...

JSI F-14 in kit form?

The more I think about the possibility of an F-14 kit release from JSI the more I like it. If some of the companies out there would produce photo-etched parts, decals and maybe some resin conversion kits, I think you can model any one of the versions from the Tomcats inception to it’s decommissionin...

I agree with everything you are saying in your post. If in fact this is true and JSI does plan to release a kit I think it will be well received. I can picture some extremely detailed models and numerous versions.

JSI F-14 in kit form?

I received my copy of Fine Scale Modelers (Feb, 2010 issue) and on page 10 they were talking about the Hobby Expo 2009 in Rosemont. Under the AFV portion they mentioned the 1/18 scale JSI F-14 and how JSI was expected to release a kit version. Has anyone heard anything further on the subject.

Anyone have these parts

Looking for TBF Avenger parts. I bought an Avenger minus the sliding canopy, the horizontal stabilizers and the tail wheel. If anyone can help, drop me a line. I would pay or trade if there is something I have that you need.

I like what you did with your models. What vehicle or vehicles did you use as the base for the Patriot launcher and tractor along with the armored (4-wheel) scout vehicle.
