Re: Weathering FOV 1:32 Armored Vehicles

It is definitely an improvement. My Dad always built his model tanks to look like they were in a parade or museum. I wanted mine to look like they had been in combat.

Re: Tanks on flatcars

That is pretty cool. I remember as a kid seeing some M48s on rail road cars back in the early to mid 60's. My Dad always carried a camera and went over to take some photos. I wonder where those photos are now.

Re: What Should The Next American Project Be ?

I would pick the Howitzer. I could use two of those. One to make a Priest. The to build a M3 based Howitzer Motor Carriage as seen in the first part of Kelly's Heroes.

Interesting DVD sold at Walmart

When I saw the cover art of the DVD Nazi Hunters with it's Sherman in a war scene I thought it was a quickie release to take advantage of the release of Fury. I was completely wrong. It is a BBC release of a 2 part series on men of the 5th Royal Tank Regiment as it fought across Africa and Europe. I...

Re: 1/18 - New BBI Stuff - Target ( clearance !)

I went to the four nearest Targets yesterday looking for the clearance stuff. Two had the individual figures half off, one had them at $3.48. The last store didn't have any of them on clearance.

Re: Panzer IV Variations ?

I would go for the usual choices such a stug 4 or a Jagdpz 4. If I found a real cheap source for Pz4s,a Brumbiar(sp) would be nice . I currently have stashed away enough Pz4s to do a early war D model, an Africa Korp F1-F2 or G model and an H model. My Dad has one more I gave him that I might be abl...
