Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

KOF, Again it is very diffucult to compare pricing across borders and between different countries. I traveled to Europe in May and the exchange rate changed over 12% in the short time I was there. If I was doing my same job in Western Europe I would be getting paid more than I am in the USA---if I w...

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

KOF- This has more to do with where you live than some type of conspiracy against Europe. You can't try to compare US dollars to Euro without talking about exchange rates and VAT. It's really ridiculous----if the only thing the naysayers can focus on is exhaust staining and photos on the box, this j...

Re: Just Checked Out My E-bay Account !!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to burst yor bubble but as soon as he became unregistered the negatives disappear...had the same thing happen to me a couple times over the past 10 years. Believe me E-Bay does not care about the seller and the new practice of allowing partial refunds will only make it worse for sellers.

Re: um....was this the true colour of Zero's?

I would not take any of those color pics too seriously as I have seen them all in B&W before. There has been a recent explosion of so-called WW2 color pictures so be very skeptical.

Maybe this carmel camo was to blend in with a carrier deck

Re: Skyworks....important information

I'll just say that I think it is wrong to post someones place of employment and address on a public board with the intent to bring "harm" to them. Where are the torches and pitchforks for 21st who did not pay their bills and basically just shut down the shop. When they decided to reopen as All-Go wh...

Re: skyworks web site

Not only was it advertised as made by Skyworks, I bought it from him and he sent it to me Wow, really shocked by the finish of your P-51B. This is not what i would expect from Skyworks or from a $700 price tag. I guess I was buying from him before he got too "big" and started to use outside help to...

Re: skyworks web site

Gentlemen, ...before skyworks totally disappears like cockroches in a housing project. A bit harsh I think, especially if you did not personally deal with him and lose any money or property (ahem, Pickel). He is no better or worse than the so-called professional 1/18th scale companies that are/were...

Re: "Biggest Mass Murderer in Histoy" Now in 1/6 Scale!

collecting a doll of someone who ordered the holocaust for example can only be done to glorify that person and by that you are glorifying their actions Sorry, but I entirely disagree..you are comparing apples to apples. I don't know of anyone who collects militaria, models, wargames, military books...

Re: "Biggest Mass Murderer in Histoy" Now in 1/6 Scale!

Don't you guys see the irony about collecting military items on one hand and knocking others who "glorify" certain subject matter?? So having an SS figure, T-34 tank, or avatar of a German WW2 jet with swastikas is any different and OK? Oh that's right, they were just following orders

Re: "Loose" BBI F-16 goes for $400.

If a price is too high, chances are it is a shill set up by the seller. You also have to worry about sniping software from the buyers perspective...so many of these auctions are "won" in the last seconds by this type of software. As for F-16's, I was lucky enough to purchase 4 of them through Target...

Re: Time to Give up on the Admiral Toys Dauntless?

(it was my preference to pre-pay on the preorder. I just prefer to pay up-front and be done with it. Fortunately, this is the only preorder I've done that's gone south) Are you telling me that you prepaid for a future item with no terms whatsoever when it was due to be built?
