Re: Nooo...No more models ????
Yes, this was getting press 11 years ago because some in Congress were trying to pass a bill so modeling companies would not have to pay royalties to the defense industry on +60 year old aircraft/armor. Car modelers went through this years ago. Then the model railroad industry went through the same....

Re: FW 190 A/F is it gonna happen soon or not.?
Went to the iHobby show on Saturday and was disappointed to find an empty booth in the Merit location! It looks like they baled on Friday? Seems like it would have been some good advertising/PR to stay for the weekend. Oh well, hopefully the Fuhrer will not be too upset and send me to the Russian Fr...

Re: Is the Harrier still a go?
Made it to the show on Sunday. Have to say I was shocked how small it had become from past years! It must have been about 1/5 the size-with many large vendors missing. That being said, I saw the Merit booth including the 1/6th Pz IV, Harrier, 1/16th artillery, and newly painted 1/18th Me-262, Sabre ...

Re: 1/18 Ta152H custom - work in progress...
How funny, I have just been gathering the info to do the same. The Ta 152H has been a favorite of mine for ages and will look great in 1/18th. If you do a bit of searching on the net someone started the same conversion some years back and there are good references from modelers who converted 1/32 Fw...

Re: selling my Picklehaube 1/18 Horten 229 on Ebay
Ebay global shipping is another Ebay bullshit program., So angry with this crap. I sold some planes overseas and did not even know the box was checked for this program. Now I can't even send invoice to the buyer. Ebay you have done it again. Same here. I sold a plane to someone in Taiwan w/o my kno...

Re: 1/18 Me-163 Komet
All this talk about Me-163's is making me think again about my Skyworks KI-61 Tony kit I purchased years ago. This has all the parts and details included but it will not be an easy build---with lack of any guide pins and some difference in size between fuselage halves. Also have my Fw-190A nose from...

Curious as wouldn't the A8 be the first one to do as over 6000 were produced as opposed to 1700 or so A5 versions

Re: 1/18th King Tiger !!
Insisting the ME-262 be a bomber, for example. Somewhere I recall reading a real good assessment of the Me262 and Hitler's so-called meddling. The main problem with the 262 was it engines that only lasted 10-25 hours instead of the 200-250 they were supposed to--mainly because of low supplies of ch...

I have one of the KI61 Tony kits just waiting to be built-and I agree that the resin is definately soft and unstable! Gliderdwn, Did you put some kind of metal spar across the length of the wingspan to add some stability/strength to the model?? Just wondering. The kit itself looks great and you pain...

I was just thinking about getting one of these JU87G conversions but it seems like your mold are shot! You must let us know when/if you are going to sell these again.
Thanks,

Its amazing how most members on here just can't help whinning and bitching about every model produced. From the exhaust on the Dauntless to weathering and gear on the F-14. If these companies were not making anything then the bitching would stop. If companie reps read these boards, I could see why ...

Re: A realistic option for merit
WOW a 1/18th Devastator would be awesome. If the next model from Merit is finished as well as the Dauntless the type of aircraft may not matter as much! A Val or Kate could also be a winner. They CANNOT produce another Dauntless or they will flood the market like some other past manufacturers to be ...
