Re: MY Pakwagen
Not too much progress to report on this. Having just moved I haven't set up an area for airbrushing yet. I tend to flit from one project to another as well. The only thing I've done was to make an axe out of styrene to fit in the holder. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk190/smittyrob/axe.jpg I h...

Re: 21st Century Toys Mourning/Cry Room.
Toys R us here in BC used to carry 1:18 21st stuff back around 2000. I bought a grey tiger there for $50, then they got politically correct and wouldn't sell any german items, then no 21st stuff at all. Walmart here I think did carry a few 1/32 FOV items for awhile. I only bought one item from the M...

It's true the sound is heard after the gun fires, but it's not a vulcan cannon which fires 20mm. It's the 30mm Gau-8 Avenger cannon.

I don't know, seems like the proportions are a bit off, and it looks slightly too small compared to the figure. (Doesn't look like you could fit 4 of those figures in there).

Can't really see them in those 2 photos. Vertical rods mounted on the nose, possibly in the field apparantly to help aim the vehicle/rockets. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk190/smittyrob/456.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk190/smittyrob/halftrack19.jpg http://i280.photobucket.com/albu...

From the pictures you can't see the mg swing arms, but they would have had them. I think 21st just cheaped out omitting the front one ...(and the aiming rods).

Don't have anything made by BBI, but I'm thinking about getting one of these.
Seem like a lot of people say these are better than 21st's 109s?
The photos certainly look good.

That looks like an ausf A or B and an mg34, nevertheless an mg and shield should have been included on the 21st version.
Great picture by the way.

Beautiful job, how much did the fabrication cost. I have CAD skills as well but never thought this route would be cost effective. If the cost to do something like this is, then I would like to try it also.

Yeah $90 is too much for one of these. Keep looking, I'm sure you should be able to find one for a more reasonable price.

Re: 1/18 German Halftrack w/Rockets (Stuka Zu Fuss)
21st also omitted the aiming sights on the production model, seen on the pre production photo. I thought 21st's paint scheme was pretty ugly on this one and ambush scheme's on 251's would be pretty rarely seen according to available info and 1 or 2 existing photo references. Definitely needs the Mg ...

So I doubt one would ever come close to looking like this Why not? Unless it's sitting safe in a clean warehouse it's going to get dirty and exposed to the elements, ie. weathered. Rust and damage and missing pieces are one thing but you can't drive a vehicle around in the field without it getting ...

On your photobucket page, if you mouse over the area under your pictures you will see a box below it. Click in the area that says Image Code, then you just paste in the text box here. Then click preview to see how it will look before submitting it. Hope that helps. R> http://i280.photobucket.com/alb...
