Interesting. It certainly seems that the majority prefer little to no weathering. And of those that do prefer weathered pieces, it seems that the weathering can be minimal and still suffice. No one responded that they wanted damaged or abused pieces (are you listening FOV 1:32 Iraqi T-72 team?). Mys...

How do you like your "toys"?
For the last few months I've been following the whole JSI Tomcat story. Personally, I stick to 1:32 only, so the entire debacle has very little bearing on me, but never-the-less, I've been watching. I think we can all agree that weathering has certainly been a hot topic lately, and would likely stic...

In keeping with a modern era theme which you obviously favor, what would you say to a B-1 or a C-27J in 1/32? I know the C-27 isn't really a jet but it is currently in use by our Armed Forces so no collection would be complete without one. I'd not be opposed to a B-1, but it's four engined. The swi...

As someone who started out with model trains, and a lover of trains in general, these are especially cool in my book. I wish I had space for something similar, but that will have to wait. I'd love to do an outdoor layout, but that will require a different yard. I'm just lucky that I've got a woman w...

I will admit that sometimes I get a bit jealous of you 1:18 guys. The number of figures, and the fact that they come apart really allows you to do so much more. And of course the fact that 1:18 is a popular scale for a variety of subjects means that there is so much variety for you to pick from, the...

How well does the seat warmer work for you? I have two of the larger K9 models, and find them to be a little problematic. We use them primarily on our bed, where aside from taking up too much space, they seem to create hotspots while leaving other areas completely cold. Your's looks to be a better f...

And now for something that didn't work...
...Yet. For a project I'm working on I found tiles that happen to be just about the right size for me to use. They are 13"x13" floor tiles in a brown color that should work just fine. The only thing wrong with them is, like most tile, they have somewhat of a semi-gloss finish. For my purposes dull a...

Thanks for the input. I wish I could find out more info about the actual tank, and more pics wouldn't hurt my feelings either. But it's cool, I'll just mark my tanks as I want to, and that's more with vehicles than with soldiers. I'm somewhat of the opinion that taking out a soldier with a tank isn'...

FOV doesn't want to hear from me. I want cold war and modern. The number of schemes, variants, and nationalities for some of these would seem to offer plenty of appeal worldwide. M113 Leopard Gepard ZSU-23 T-55\ T-62 >(and Chinese copies thereof) T-72/ Some pieces would seem to be great ideas based ...

I think perhaps you're onto something Grockwood. Some sort of small equipment. I had thought that maybe they were bomb silhouettes, denoting IED's. I suppose I can make just about anything, since I'm not trying to model Sinister Minister directly, but I wish I knew what they were nonetheless. Thanks...

Now with pics! This photo shows the applied decal kill marking, in this case, two T-72's http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/CanteenX/SSMHQ/Kill-markings.jpg This photo shows pretty much the same, but illustrates how at times the decal film itself can be visible. I need to work on that, starting ...

Anything not WWII!!! Sure it was a great war and all, but it's about time we give the last 60+ years of history a bit of attention. I've got my favorite WWII warbird just like anyone else, but let's face it, planes have come a long way since then. It's time to start acknowledging that the P-51 was n...
