Re: 1/32 Hong Kong Model B-17G (Any update on release date)

They are in my local store now- £230 so about $370 It's a huge box and the model is big - approx 3 foot wingspan and over 2 feet of fuselage. I can't work out how best to display it though, it would be a shame to hide all the detail in the fuselage, but is it an option to cut sections out of such an...

Re: A HS-126 Redo

I asked if you knew what it was like, because if you were expecting something better, then the 'yellow peril' arrived, I can imagine it would have been a bit of a shocker, but at least you knew what to expect!! Not allowing for the scale effect can spoil a model - I like 1/350 Warships, and one colo...

Well that made a difference...Another good job!

Did you know the model had the colour issues before you got it?

Also - and I'm sorry if you've been asked before - What do you use to seal the decals and paintwork?

Cheers

Re: Is World of Tanks driving new 1/72 releases?

I think they must be having an affect, the curator at the RAC Tank Museum told us when I was at at a lecture there in March, that as the game has become more popular, they have seen a big increase in the numbers of younger visitors and that tanks are now 'cool' and game players want to look at the a...

Re: Choice your most wanted plane and helicopter for 1:18 **

I would still go with the Phantom as my first choice of aircraft, but if it had to be a prop job, then I'd currently go for another Japanese fighter - either Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate or Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien would be good here... Although my interest is with fixed-wing types, I'd agree with the Hind as a...

Hi normandy - Agreed - Until I saw this, I'd never put much exhaust staining on my Tiger models, but as you can see, this is really thick and black between the air filters, and also covers the rear hull plate either side and between the exhausts - except where it's been rubbed off when the covers fo...

Re: Dornier Do-17 Recovery Updates

THE DORNIER IS UP!! A German World War II bomber has been raised from the bottom of the English Channel. The Dornier Do-17 aircraft was shot down off the Kent coast more than 70 years ago during the Battle of Britain. Believed to be the only intact example of its kind in the world, it has lain in 50...
