Why are Me-109's priced so low?
It's generally easy to find a 109 - 21st or bbi - for sale in the $70 range (exclusive of any rare or unusual paint schemes). That's consistently the lowest for any 1:18 aircraft. Even the first issue P51 sells for more. What are your thoughts on the low pricing?

Re: Anyone buy the tan/brown 18th camo Panther out of China?
German armour isn't my cup o'tea, but it makes me wonder what unreleased products could be laying around Chinese warehouses (or workers basements). That bbi Marine that was posted a couple of weeks ago looks like a fully-produced ready to ship product that would have to exist somewhere in the thousa...

Great update. Rufe floats sound promising. My vote for twin engine is Mossie. My RAF crew has been waiting years to have an aircraft assigned to them.

Re: Samantha Peyton FS
Just out of curiosity did you buy this from a guy named Bruce A seller wrecked a P-47 I bought by not shipping it right I think this came from a woman in Utah. She used whole, small corrugated boxes as packaging material and stuffed them around the plane - needless to say in shipping the sharp, sol...

New (not vintage) German truck, missing top, otherwise no damage and complete to the best of my knowledge (purchased as part of a lot). Looks unused. $30 shipped in US.

Have a Peyton I purchased to give to my father who was stationed with a squadron of these aircraft. But the seller packed very badly and the plane arrived with scratches, slightly bent props, scratched canopy, overall not gift quality but no serious damage. Otherwise complete (no pilot, only one bom...

Re: BBI is done with premium large scale models for collecto
Disappointing but not surprising. I think WalMart did more harm than good to 1:18 by their $40 aircraft, some of which sat on the shelves until they were marked down to half that or less. The artificial pricing forced other companies to think there is no market or profit to be made in 1:18 (or at le...

[quote/]I think BBI should have made 1:18 German figures. If they were done like the rest of their figures, they'd be the best ever made![/quote] Agree 100%, with the addition bbi should continue making carded WW2 figures of all types. There will always be a market for WW2 history, rather that be fr...

Re: Most wanted reproduction bbi Elite Force 1/18 model
That bbi Marine is the first I've ever seen, heard, or thought possible. I had no idea those figures were even considered. What a loss....
As for most wanted, I'd be happy with a FAA (RAF) F6F. Or bbi's P-47 that was in the background of one photo and never seen again.

What's ebay? To quote from 'The Maltese Falcon': "The stuff dreams are made of." Dreams of finding a rare item. Dreams of getting a great deal. Dreams of selling your stuff for more than you think anyone would pay. Dreams of your purchase being shipped so it arrives unbroken. And so far, the only p...

21st's Government building playset that was shown at a toy fair but never produced.
For items actually made, I'm with Studly with the RAAF Mustang, but my choice would be the camo version. Odds are VERY unlikely I'll ever find one.

Good find on a parts plane. Looks like many of the parts are already sacrificed! Yet the pilot sits calmly in the cockpit, even though his plane is a total write-off.

Re: 1/18 P-38 California C , Sold for 119$ plus 30 S Ebay
What is the general 'value/price' hierarchy for the P-38? This California Cutie sold for more than what a Putt Putt Maru is currently listed; I've seen first-issue D-day selling for $125 or so and those seem to be the most common; poor Samantha Peyton seems to have the least interest and lowest pric...

Re: New 1/18 "Western" Line - Kickstarter
Looks promising, I'll certainly look into the Kickstarter when launched. IMO an Old West line MUST have vehicles and/or playsets to be successful: Wagons, stagecoach, modular buildings with false fronts (saloon; bank; blacksmith; etc). Articulated horses might be a design/manufacturing problem but a...

Re: Wow! my collection must be worth millions!
First you have to find two or more people with more money than common sense who are willing to continually out bid each other so the price just keeps going higher and higher until one of the two idiots - uh, I mean bidders - has 'won' by paying many times the value of something. If you find these gu...

Free GI Joe 1/6 figure, uniforms, gear
I have a large shoebox-size container filled with various 1:6 GI Joe and other manufacturers uniforms and accessories. Nearly all is WW2, mostly US but some German including a GI Joe 'foreign' head and a standard GI Joe head (no bodies just heads). NOTHING IS VINTAGE and probably nothing is particul...
