Re: Yet another 'what's the value of this' question
For P51, as an 'outsider' coming back into the hobby, I'm honestly amazed at the prices and at this point I wouldn't be surprised if the prices continue to rise, at least in the short term. But the value of anything is only what someone will pay, and the higher the prices go the fewer buyers. I used...

Yet another 'what's the value of this' question
I don't have anything to sell or want to know what something is 'worth' before buying. This is a question concerning 'what's with the high 1:18 prices and what should I EXPECT to pay?" I've been out of the hobby for many years and sold virtually everything I had. I miss collecting/displaying and wan...

Re: A voice from the past (returing member)
Great to see some of the old troopers are still around! Thanks for the greetings. I was looking through what few pieces of 1:18 I kept (just a few figures), and found my custom RAF crew (made for, back in the day, when 21st announced the B-25 and it appeared they might make a Mosquito); a custom USA...

Re: Opinions on value
Did you open the P-38 box to confirm the paint? Back in 2008 or 2009 FAO Schwarz was going out of business and selling the p-38 for $19 (yes, that's right). They must have had hundreds of them because they were listed online for at least two or three weeks. I purchased three with the thought of re-p...

Hello! to anyone still on the board that has been here since the early days of 21st, XD, $29.99 1:18 aircraft at Wally World, and all the other 'old timers'. This is flayrah, I hope someone remembers me. Anyway, a couple of years ago during some some difficult times (four deaths in the family and tw...

Re: SCAM ALERT
Sorry to hear about this, Sarge. I hope it all turns out well, but if not your proof of shipping should be enough to show you fulfilled your part of the deal, if the package gets lost or mishandled it's out of your hands. If the buyer is legit (and from the sequence of events this guy already looks ...

Pizzaguy - saw those figures on the peg, the headsculpt has much potential but is oversized IMO and would look odd on the bbi body. It would take some work to find a correct body without looking overscale, but it should be possible.

A reason NOT to buy this item
Look at the photo. Closely. Pilot needs to report these conditions as a violation (in more ways than one) of the Geneva Convention.

What's with the text in his listing? Multi-colors, languages, extraneous and generally useless information, 'fill out and return this form' for foreign bidders.....he might as well put up a sign 'Items not really for sale, listing for my amusement only'

I hope the first seller didn't pull them because of the sudden numerous listings from the Ohio seller. Those models really are rare and quite valuable. Maybe bbi will release an RAF Mustang IV..... (wishful thinking...)

Thanks for the heads up. I saw those posts, as well as some other exclusive pieces he's listed and wondered what was going on. The RAAF Mustangs are virtually never seen, then a group show up at once....I feel sorry for all the guys who are bidding, hoping to get a rare model.

Re: 1/18 cars for a village?
I think most cars remaining would pre-date the time period by decades - going back to the '20's or earlier. More recent cars would have been driven out, stripped, confiscated, etc. There should be models available, but I'm not a die cast collector so don't know what's out there. Maybe also check for...

Re: Does anyone on here do custom orders for figures?
Modifying existing figures into custom representations shouldn't be hard if you have the figure parts and pieces either in hand, or have identified and can find the figures, pieces and parts that will work. The most difficult match will be trying to identify and locate heads that are close enough to...

Re: 1/18 MD-3 A/S32-31A Carrier Tractor
I think it's a great project pizzaguy, I just don't know if there would be enough interest to make and sell. I've made a handfull of WWII custom vehicles, all aviation-themed - from a bomb transport to an airfield tractor - and couldn't get enough interest to even pay for my materials. I have some o...
