Re: Life, 3-D Printing and Everything

I've had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong its an amazing place. I'm sure it loses some of it's allure/luster if you're working there but still I'd imagine it's fascinating. Welcome sorta back to the forum. There are Midways Dauntlesses still out there but they are getting a little scarce. Only...

I don't collect much 1/32 but I wish I had had the money to get ahold of this one. I love the Mosquito and this piece is awesome. Congrats Snake.

It was a real pleasure doing business with Coreyeagle. Couldn't ask for better communication or quicker shipping. Really pleased to have added this piece to my collection.

Thanks again Corey,

Re: How do you display your collection?

That's a very cool work in progress tman. My sister and brother-in-law have a place with high roofs and recesses like that. When I first visited I was envisioning what my stuff would look like with a pad like that. Turns out my vision and your reality aren't all that different.

As for cost I scan ebay for them regularly and they range from $40 - $100 over the past 6 months or so. There is currently one with no box buy it now for $49.99 and a boxed version for $80. I've only seen a handful on ebay in the last couple months.

Those models are amazing. I wish I could read a word on the site but just the same it is a feast for the eyes. I really like the variety of planes as well. I find the Dornier particularly interesting, partly because its something different. I do love the attention to detail in all of them.

Congrats SSFF! I guess this just shows that there are still some gems out there. And on top of that and even less believable that you can find said gems for a reasonable price on ebay of all things.

The "bunch of mk IVs" is like pouring salt in the wound or a stake to the heart, especially considering the lengths I went to to attain one at a reasonable price.

Re: anyone ever removed the engine from a 21c Tiger?

This thread is very cool and very depressing. I love seeing the engine out of the tank and then put into a panther. However I can't imagine having enough spares to just use them for parts. Much less having spares to begin with.

Kroll those Falcons are awesome not only is the 2 seater just about seamless but the paint jobs are spectacular. When you do get a chance finish the Hornet I for one will look forward to images. As it is I see a lot of work invested and an impressive result. Hope your little girl recovers quickly an...

That thing is awesome! If it weren't for the fact that I'm currently saving for a Dauntless and eventually the 1/32 Phantom this would be right up my alley. Very cool find.

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

Thanks for the link BV. All the other photos I've seen with it look a lot darker and as I posted a bit earlier in this thread I was disappointed. However I am less so now and more sure that Midway because of its historical significance and decreased weathering is the way to go.

Re: a custom RACING P-51 reminded me a sad crash ! RIP !

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I used to peruse that site and http://www.warbirdregistry.org/index.html to see what planes have survived, which are still flying, which have been modified, etc. The real problem is it requires quite a bit of free time and patience.

Re: a custom RACING P-51 reminded me a sad crash ! RIP !

There was one I believe called "Stiletto", I think it raced in the 80's. It's alot like the Galloping Ghost, ie tall tail, race canopy, and clipped wings. The other one I can think of off the top of my head is "Precious Metal". Again it is an air racing mustang so certain aspects are very similar to...

Re: BIG NEWS! BBI will be issuing a repaint of the 1/32 F-4

This is awsome news. I've always loved the F-4 and although I'm primarily a 1/18 collector I've always wanted to pick up one of these. Never seen one for a price I can justify so I think this might be a must have.

Wow your detail work is amazing. I am one of the board members with no artistic skill so I am just dumbfounded. The repaints on the figures with the G4 are remarkable they really standout. And don't get me started on the U-Boat that thing is mind-blowing on another level. Welcome back. Looking forwa...

Re: a custom reminded me a sad crash ! RIP !

I remember when that accident happened I was greatly saddened for the loss of life. And the enthusiast in me was sad for the loss of such a beautiful plane. I've never had the chance to catch an air race in person but they appear exhilirating and dangerous. Unfortunately on this occasion it was more...
