Okay. I often use blue tape and do the same in 1/72 scale. The Tamyia tape seems a bit stiff for smaller scales, but I will try it on one of my future 1/32 builds.
Again nice work. The Hien has always been a favorite...

Really excellent paint work. I always struggle with painting canopies. Did you use a mask set or just mask it your self? Very nice model. Thanks for posting it.

Re: WW1 Limber Sets from Atlas
Here is the matching French 75mm cannon. It is also pewter and fairly well detailed. These are a bit harder to find on eBay at a decent price. Everything comes out of China except for this particular gun. I bought it from a guy in England. This one will be painted in the US Army camouflage scheme to...

You got it! I have many of my big 1/72 planes suspended from the ceiling in addition to my 1/18 scale planes. Some small ones mixed in too, to keep things interesting....

Wow! Simply amazing work. The hybrid Stuart looks like a fun project. Are any of them R/C? Not that it matters though. The Panther must be huge!

That is amazing work, especially being the smaller 1/144 scale. I have a few of the 1/144 bombers from cafe Rio and IXO. I never considered a "code3" on them. Really amazing work!

Re: 1/6 ITEMS
I have the 1/6 21st Century R/C M-5 Stuart. I cut the side skirts off it and the project kind of died. I want to change the gearing to speed it up a little. Just a topic that would fit in a new 1/6 section I guess....

Re: My 1/30 ww 2 armors
Oh, I agree. For the amount they get for a gun, it should have decent detail. Personally, I collect the various makers, especially soldiers, as my painting skills are not that great. I have painted hundreds of soldier figures and just never could make them as decent looking as the "toy" soldier make...

Re: My 1/30 ww 2 armors
Nice dioramas. I like the winter scenes and the armor is well painted and weathered. I tend to collect only WW1 stuff, artillery in particular. Some guns are metal, many of the larger ones are resin. Recently, I bought a large First Legion French artillery piece and was amazed/disappointed that it w...

Older Britains Howitzer 1/32
I always liked the howitzers and cannons the Britains company sold. I had the smaller guns when I was a kid. They were great for shooting at my plastic tanks. Well, I managed to pick up something a little bigger. This is Britains 18" Howitzer. It is a typical WW1 heavy artillery piece, with a heavy ...

Very impressive model and photos. Those deep details will lend themselves well to a dark paint wash to really bring them out.

Re: WW1 Limber Sets from Atlas
After some exhaustive searching on EBay, I found the cannons which go with these limbers... http://www.ebay.com/itm/252602238657?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT They are cheap but shipping is a killer. WW1 Limber Sets from Atlas
These are WW1 French pattern limbers and cassions which were used with the French 75mm cannon by both the French Army and the AEF in France during the Great War... They are made by Atlas and sporadically available on EBay at wildly varying prices. They come in their plain pewter color and need a min...

Re: Some of my built plastic models
Nice, uncluttered and bright displays. My area tends to be rather dark and I have too many things on display. I have a suspended ceiling in my model room, so I went to suspending planes from the framework. A possible alternative ,especially for bigger planes. Your models all look nicely done and wel...

Re: Wings of the Great War 1/72 planes
Hey, PM. I agree. I looked at both the WGW and Americom planes before I delved into the 1/72 prebuilt WW1 planes. I received some great advice from the plane guys at the Warbird collectors site, I went with Americom. They are definitely much, much better. The WGW planes have flashy paint schemes but...

Thanks! This model was a bit over two feet long. I can't imagine how big the 1/72 version would be. I think there is even a 1/35 version out there too. I would need a new garage to display that one in! Lol This model tried my patience and sanity numerous times during the construction. A 1/72 would p...

Re: new!! 1/32 WW! FT-17 tank available
I will. I have them done already. Just waiting for the Atlas made cannons to show up. They are nicely made and generally cheap if you shop around. The cannons are a bit pricey, usually running around $50-$60. The limbers and cassions can be had for $9-$15 if you are patient...

1/144 Dora Railgun
I have been absent from this forum for quite a while. As my hobby interests "revolve" I usually get back to things I left for other projects and life issues. Well, a couple years ago, I built a 1/144 German Dora railway gun. It was a gift for a fellow big gun fan, who was retiring from the company w...

T-Man....super great looking Stug! I had a1/16 R/C grey Stug III. I replaced most of the plastic parts with metal, like the tracks, wheels, idlers etc. I also installed a slow speed gear box, which was probably the best mod I did on it. I ended up selling it after it sat on my end table for a year.....
