Re: Hobby Master 1:32 Hellcat Mistakes-Part Two

The flying mule pics are a good reference. Although it looks better than the pre-pros, the Wing fold joints look gappy, and more disturbingly the canopy seems too large/out of scale. For $219 this isn't going to make the cut,
I'd much rather build it from a kit...

Re: Hobby Master 1:32 Hellcat Mistakes-Part Two

The Pre-pro photos released by Hobby Master show a rediculously incorrect dihedral. Photos of the final product posted on the Diecast Hanger Pub Forum show a more sensible dihedral, but the angle on one wing slightly greater than the other, giving a slight lopsided effect. My guess is that the wing ...

WTB: 1/18 M17 M45 Quadmount Gun Trailer

Hello all, Over the past few months my Father has befriended my Grandmother's neighbor, George. George is a 90-something year old veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. My Father showed me a wartime photo of George perched on his anti-aircraft gun. I've always been a collector of aircraft, but I rememb...

I agree...it is off the mark. I have four Hobby Master 1/48 F9F's and I'm pleased with them (Although the folding wing mechanism can be aggravating). The grey Pensacola version and Blue Angels can still be found cheap...

Picked up some cool planes from digger today!!! He has a magnificent stash of 1/18 armor and figures, well worth taking a trip. Definitely recommend doing business with him, he's a great guy!

Re: 1/32 Hobby Master Hellcat

Unless this model has an extremely low production number, I'm predicting reduced prices/sales. There's a overwhelming consensus that the price of this model is super inflated, and HM is going to want to sell multiple schemes in the future.... They overpriced their 1/144 scale line, and re-adjusted.....

WTB Looking for a 1/32 FW-190D canopy!

Hello all!

I'm looking for a 21st Century 1/32 FW-190D canopy! (I'd also consider one from a model kit) I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who has a spare and we can work out a deal.

Thanks!

Re: BBI announces f-18c

I can see how, without a retail distributor the prices of 1/18th will be higher. That said, let me pose a few questions. Why was the $120-$140 price range jumped over? In the case of the F-18 repaint, Is more than double the price reasonable? Is this really worth $20 more than the recent F-16 repaint?

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!

Hello All, I went to Wally World today, and low and behold they had about eight of these in stock! As I collect 1/48th scale (aside from 1/18), I picked one up. I pulled out my 21st century "Princess" P-51 b/c and compared the details. As stated before, this is 21st Century's tooling reissued under ...

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!

That is the 21st century 1:48 scale mould! The P-47 and P-51 were 21stC paint schemes at one time in 1:32. "Eileen" and "Miss Marilyn II" I wonder if the aircraft pictured on the back will be in the same scale?? I think 1:48th scale would grow on collectors if in the future manufacturers focused on ...

I collect 1:48 scale, so this is very exciting news. That said, without any official 'coming soon' announcements, no advertisements, no pictures and no website... don't you think this is a lousy way to sell a 'test' run of new merchandise? :?:

Re: Need help creating wing dihedral!!!

Thank you for the comments, I was thinking of going the hot water route, and I made my move this afternoon. I removed the wings from the fuselage and placed them under hot tap water, while heating water on the stove. Then, I carefully spooned the heated water (not quite boiling) over the center of t...

Need help creating wing dihedral!!!

Hello all, I have both of the Ki-61 tony models that 21st century released in 1:48th scale. They are beautiful models with the exception that the wings are quite flat... If I apply slight upward pressure to the wings while holding the model, the wings assume the proper dihedral. The plastic is fairl...
