I went out today hoping Target had its FOV stock on sale.... No luck. I did purchase an additional HIMAR and I completed my modern day fuel truck. It looks good. Since I now have the trailer portion left from the fuel tanker tandem, I'm debating whether to utilize the rocket portion from the HIMAR v...

Not only are the Italeri and Tamiya kits expensive but they are so detailed that you have to be so patient and dedicated when constructing the model. It also becomes frustrating when you have to put together so many pieces for a part of the model that can't actually /literally be seen: the engine fo...

I have a few of the Hueys. I painted one with Desert Storm color. It looks like the ones that have been used in Afghanistan. I'm planning on painting one white and making it a United Nations chopper to go along with my Britains UN Landrover and troops. A little while back I was able to purchase 4 or...

Everybody is entitled to make a buck, but if I can save my own money I'm certainly going to do it. I check out the Walmarts and Targets all the time and if I can pay $14.99, I'm doing it. For the same reason I'll periodically check out hobby shops, which are becoming so hard to find, or flea markets...

1/32 helicopters
I wish FOV would make 1/32 choppers. It would be great for a Nighthawk or Huey or Cobra. Imagine all the color schemes or even different countries' versions of the Huey alone. I realize in the past Testors made the Apache and I think NewRay made a Vietnam era Marine Huey, (both of which I have) but ...

Watch for your Walmarts to reduce the prices right after Christmas on these new products. I always try to go to all my local Walmarts after Christmas and clean up. This past fall I was buying the original 38t and Marder for as low as $5 a piece. I picked up the Stewart set for $11 as well as the Pan...

The Christmas and Halloween village stuff is smaller than 1/32 from a building standpoint but some of the figures are close and the trees , shrubs, some of the animals, benchs, sidewalks, roads will do. They have cobblestone, brick, dirt roads. They have the same for a townsquare; they have 'water',...

Village stuff
Lemax stuff is already being reduced. Their trees, cobblestone and brick roads, landscape (cliffs, mountains, sidewalks, etc.) are being reduced 50% off. Today I picked up quite a bit for half the price.....

Creating a modern day fuel truck
I'm contemplating modifying an FOV HIMARS into a fuel truck. I've been thinking about this for a while. Think about it. Most military vehicles, especially armor, consume vast quantities of fuel....... Therefore, a 'gas' truck is needed. At most retailers you can pick up a HIMARS. Remove the rocket l...
