Re: merit to release 1/18 Gr.FW-190 A-5 in 2013

I'm a quite disappointed that the Me-163 rumor was just that. But depending on the price and paint I might bite the bullet on the 190A. It is awesome news for those who have been wanting one in some form. Much like LTL I'm still waiting on an A-10 and some others. With this and the Dauntless I think...

Re: 1:18 Scale technical

I happened to see these the other day. The toy line is called Weekend Adventurer, I'm not sure of the company. I don't see a use for it myself but for those interested it appears to be a current gen F-150. They also have a H2 Humvee available. I've also saw one at Big Lots the other day with a Cadil...

That's an awesome display Pizza. The stand is excellent and the r.b.f. covers and tags look perfect. Very impressive.

Re: Blohm & Voss 222.

I was wondering if anyone happened to know how much one of these kits is worth without its box. I was at a flea market the other day and bought 2 boxes of random models and parts, mostly unboxed. Turns out I have two of these completely sealed in plastic with decals and instructions. But I have no i...

I've thought about picking up one of these for some time but I lack the ability to construct a correct dolly so I've passed. Best of luck Axis.

I recently bought a couple items from fullyautomatic. His communication was excellent and the items were shipped very quickly. It was a pleasure doing business with him and I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have contemplated that MZ but I figure with something like the B-25 the shipping price post assembly would be a killer. But perhaps I am mistaken.

Re: Too many parts?

I'm right there with you Axis. I would love to have both of these kits but the sheer amount of small detail is terrifying. I was never that good at all the tiny details to begin with, my big paws weren't meant for fine motor skills. Now I have some nerve damage as well which makes the idea of the bi...

Re: Anything good showing up at TRU or Target this season?

I was in the local TRU today shopping for my gf's nephews and they had very few joe figures but they were buy 2 get the 3rd free. They did have some of the 30th anniversary vehicles and a couple Retaliation Fangboats. Also they had stacks upon stacks of True Heroes stuff.

I just completed a transaction with Trigger1. I purchased a Kubelwagen from him and can't recommend him highly enough. Great communication, quick shipping, and the kw arrived in excellent condition. It was a pleasure doing business with you Trigger.

Re: Avenger Part Needed- wing hinge assy

The hinge on my Avenger is broken as well. I've expeimented with a number of fixes but none of them have actually worked. I think I'm just gonna have to glue it in position and call it good.

WTB 1/18 Kubelwagen and 1/18 Jeep

I'm looking to add my first Kubel and Jeep to my collection. I'd like the piece to be complete but I could care less if its boxed or loose. To be honest I prefer loose since I display my models. I also have no preference between od green and bulge paint as regards the jeep. If you have both or eithe...

Welcome to aboard. I'm sure you'll be able to draw plenty of inspiration from any number of the other members. Some of them do some really impressive dioramas and custom work. I joined at the beginning of this year and I've benefitted greatly from the wealth of knowledge and talent. It has inspired ...

Re: 1/18th King Tiger !!

I think he's referring to the 503rd Heavy Panzer Battalion which saw battle in Skorzeny's Operation Panzerfaust. However I'm not aware of any significant design differences. Perhaps he's thinking paint and markings because the detachment was one of the first to be outfitted with King Tigers and saw ...

Big Lots by me didn't have any new products but they were stocked with Little Birds, R.I.B.'s, Jeeps, Humvees, Kayaks, etc. I haven't bought anything from the line but the R.I.B. was awful tempting.

I modeled and collected diecast aircraft as a kid. And when I finally got bitten by the 1:18 bug aircraft were the reason. Since then I've collected a little bit of everything but aircraft remain my strongest focus.

I think this will sell pretty well. There are a lot of us out here who weren't able to collect during the glory days. I for one love the Phantom and though I'd love a JR or a 'Nam camo, the one is beyond my financial means and the other doesn't exist. I think there are a lot of people like me who ar...
