Re: WHO WILL MAKE PILOT"s for the Dauntless ?
........And what leads us to believe there will ever actually BE a Dauntless to put pilots in ???? Looking at this there will be one and maybe by April. http://www.badcattoys.com/sbdacosea1me.html My point being that we have been lied to so many times in the past that I'm taking a "wait and see" at...

I have used the same method using short pieces of appropriate diameters of aluminum welding rod as "bones". Works really well !!!

Re: What was the worst item ever made?
The Hellcat from BBI was the absolute worst in my opinion. Functionally, it's a floppy mess. There is so much to be frustrated by... The flaps, the wings, the main gear, the canopy shape... It's a real shame too! I agree about the floppy control surfaces. A real annoyance !! I fixed mine with a bit...

Re: What was the worst item ever made?
The Admiral Toys 262 pilot is a real dog, and would give the APC driver a run for his money any day. At least you can change the APC drivers head and have a decent figure in modern fatigues. I always thought the Admiral toys 262 pilot was a woman. Can you imagine if the Admiral 262 pilot go...

There is no such thing as Santa Claus, there is no such thing as the Tooth Fairy, there is no such thing as "spare time", there is no such thing as extra money, AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "TOO MANY PLANES" !!!!!!

BF109 canopies..
In looking at photos of crashed and bellied in BF109's, I notice that often the entire canopy aft of the windshield is missing. I suspect that both the side hinged portion and the aft section come off together when released for bailing out or emergency landings. Anybody got some insight into this ? ...

Re: Shipping help!!!
Shipping costs are a combination of both weight and package dimensions nowadays. Unfortunately, shippers like UPS, etc. started to take measurements of the boxes a while back. I personally think it was just a way to jack up the prices. I don't know if the Post Office does that or not, as I usually s...

Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
I have had several RC Stuarts over the years and all worked up to a minimum of 50 feet. If mine only worked up to 10', I demand 21C fix me up with a new control unit..... wait, that won't work.... I forgot, 21C is history. My favorite still is the static version which has the more realist...

Re: Red Tails - January 20, 2012
Pretty exciting looking artwork in the poster, but I don't believe the 262 carried any fuel or other flammable substances way up forward in the nose where a lot of the fire is coming from. Even too far forward for exploding ammo. Probably the artist did not do his homework !!

Re: 1/6 STUART IN WERK
As far as 1/6 Stuarts go, does anybody know how to increase the radio range on the R/C ones ? I have to be no more than about 10 feet away from mine to get the tank to respond reliably to the controller. I would like to get at least 50 feet away and still have it work. Any radio control geeks among...

Here are a couple of pics of a 190D with a green spiral. This is a museum airplane. Floppy Flaps and Ailerons
Just put together a 1/18 Hellcat. It's a very nice model, except for the fact that the flaps and ailerons will not stay where they belong. The flaps fall down, and the ailerons also hang down and will not stay where I put them. Anybody got a cure for that ? It's very annoying !! I don't really want ...

What if we have stuff we would give away? I havent been on for 6 months...but I have some odd stuff that I would get rid of just because it was left overs from stuff I sold. 1:32 drop tanks for a corsair 1:32 drop tanks for a p-51 and an open made canopy that came with it and was a switch out from ...

Re: Salvage Yard
This sticky is a great idea. I do have a few questions though. I thought it was for people to post what they have available and not a wanted list. It seems pretty clear that the wants will quickly smother the haves. I liked Snake Mans original idea of it being for available items only and not have ...
