Re: Jnewboy & Pickelhaube Customs 1/18 Ju87-G2 Kanonenvogel
Perhaps it would have been better with a vac-formed canopy with painted frames ?

The canopy framing seems unusually thick to me. Is that normal for the Ju87-G model ?

Re: So...what's next for Merit?
Think a FW 190 A short nose, and a Spitfire would be the best choices, IMO. The 21 Century FW 190 was a D, and not very well done. The Spitfire suffered from some issues as well, and just didn't look right. Both aircraft are important WWII fighters, with lots of schemes, and sales potential. And 21...

Great video, but I thought the music was more of a distraction than an asset. Much easier to appreciate the workmanship without the distracting noise. Well done, sez I !!!

Snake-man I just dropped off my son at school. Just (re)-read your message and man that's what it's all about. With regard to the vehicles/figures, I do the same with 1:6 and having family that's worn uniforms since before the Alamo it's not just the "playin" anymore but now the questions he's aski...

Not to be rude, but your asking members to sell to you so you can in turn sell the items at a profit, kind of has a smell to me  I really don't think that this thread was for that purpose, correct me if I'm wrong :? I agree !!! Most of us are in the hobby because we love the models, not to ma...

Re: nose gear 1:18 P-38 JS-INT & Props
so the nose gear gets pushed upward..(into the body) to unlock it? My props are on the wrong engine for proper blade angle and rotation...looking at the plane, the right engine prop should rotate clockwise...it has a counterclockwise prop on ti...the left engine prop should rotate counterclockwise....

Re: nose gear 1:18 P-38 JS-INT & Props
Welcome aboard !!! To operate the nose gear, open the door, and pull it down and forward until it locks in place. To retract it, push straight up on it, (not to the rear as if retracting) in order to unlock it, and THEN push it to the rear to retract it. It takes a fairly strong push to unlock it. I...

Re: a couple of Admiral toys Me-262 questions
I did not get any little red lights with mine. I hated the pilot, so I replaced him with one from the MIG 15. Looks really good, especially with the oxy mask, and similar enough to a German in appearance to be passable

Re: Counterfeit Help?
The other issue I had with my Hellcat was an extremely floppy fit on the propeller. I found that putting a standard #10 washer behind it took care of it nicely. I was kinda disappointed with the folding wings. They are not very solid when open, and do not sit at the proper position when folded. When...

Re: Counterfeit Help?
If you search the forum archives, there is good info on getting the Hellcat wings to fit better. On mine, I applied a bit of white glue to all the control surface hinges using a toothpick, per a suggestion by a forum member. Now they stay nicely in place, and are moveable if need be.

Re: Replacement Parts and Hamilton Standard Decals
Regarding propeller decals, keep in mind that ALL American aircraft did not use Hamilton Standard props. A significant number of them used Curtiss Electric propellers. Notably the P-47's with the pointed propeller hubs, most P-40's, and some P-38's.

What do we all think? I LIKE THAT AND WANT THEM TO RE-RELEASE ASAP :D Would somebody please point me to the BBI facebook page ?? I tried bbi, Blue Box, a...

Looks to me to be a demonstration sample used to teach the steps to doing a proper weld on heavy material requiring several passes. I have seen a few of these when I was learning to weld about 30 years ago. The instructor kept several of these on hand to show good and bad aspects of sample welds, pr...
