Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

BBi solved the problem with the 1:32 Dauntless by providing a gunner with his lower half cut off. This gunner station might be a little more detailed, but something like that might be an option. That's a good thought. I've used legless pilots in several of my planes (e.g., Stuka, F-104, and F-14) a...

That's great news, Mark! I have a bunch of your 1:18 stowage and sandbags from the old days. Can't wait to see what you come out with this time around.

Re: Am I Wrong? - *** BUY SELL TRADE IMPROVEMENT THOUGHTS **

Guys, to be clear, while Derek and I did violate the BST 6 month rule, this was the situation. I was essentially GIVING a bundle of items away via the Salvage Yard thread (free items - just pay me back for shipping). Derek was the only board member who PMed me as interested. So, yes, I realized that...

That would be great if they made some more.

Does anyone else think the Navy figure looks a bit like the late Billy Mays (the pitch man from the infomercials)? Yes, it's been a long week....

Shazam, I went to buy some and they're sold out at the Toys on Fire website. Looks like the only place they were available online.

Re: Salvage Yard

I have a box packed and ready to go with one each of - 1/144 EA-3B (built, gear down. One of the main gear fell off but is an easy fix - that piece is included) Nu-Ray, American Airlines DC7 (built). Scale unkown. I'd guess around 1/100. 1/144 S-3 Viking (new - in opened box) 1/400 Dragon, Saturn IV...

Re: JSI Jolly Rogers Tomcat Advice Needed

Happily, the paint scuff on the nose turned out to be no big deal. I was able to buff most of it off and it's barely noticeable now. A big Thank You to pizzaguy for sending me pitot tubes. Took a gray sharpie marker to one, and it fit perfectly and looks great on my F-14. Today I spent about an hour...

Hey tinman- just read your PMs... Bummer about your pitot tube! I don't have any extra nor do I have any connections to get a replacement. :( Sorry bro! As for your nose- if you like you can send the nose to me and I'll repaint the tan section! Super super easy and I can turn it overnight- no charg...

Re: JSI Jolly Rogers Tomcat Advice Needed

Thank you all for your advice, and especially to pizzaguy who is sending me pitot tubes. One more question - I accientally bumped the the side of the tan-painted nose into the gun on my JSI Tiger I tank (the toy shelves are crowded, what can I say). Now there's a small, but noticeable mark on the F-...

JSI Jolly Rogers Tomcat Advice Needed

Fellow board members, any thoughts on these items? Missing the pitot tube (nose probe). Can replacements be found, or has anyone had success in fabricating one? My skills are very basic. The glove vanes are loose and prone to sliding inside where they become a challenge to pull out again. How have y...

Odd looking things, aren't they. What is that on the rear ramp, a little tank that comes out?

Re: M41 Vietnam box figure?

While I'm obviously a fan of the M48, 21C did such a nice job with the M41 that I distort history and use it as a US tank in Vietnam. It's just a fun piece to play around with.

Re: M41 Vietnam box figure?

What was the figure packed with the M41 in Vietnam series packaging? The database photos only show the head and shoulders - what uniform was it wearing? The figure that came with the M41 in Vietnam series box was a South Vietnamese soldier (NVA head attached to body in US fatigues). This figure was...

Normandy, I believe you got a great deal on the Ambush Panther. I've wanted one for some time, but haven't been willing to pay the $120+ they always seem to be on ebay.
