Re: m48 machine gun arrangement

One of the other issues with the cupola mounted MG was the deadspace. As designed the cupola MG was more an ant-material weapon than anti-personnel, so the maximum depression was limited. Can't remember the figures, but over the front I think there was about a hundred feet of space between the tank ...

1/18th BBI WW2 Paratroopers at Fred's Super Dollar

I stopped at a Fred's Super dollar store last evening. Decided to wander the toy isle. They had the a small quantity of BBI paratroopers for $3.95. There were four in the series wit the optional open or clsoed parachutes. Each one had a large weapon and the two 101st guys had face paint. First 1/18 ...

these show up often in the "rare panzers" books. the six wheel one is based on the Krupp Box (KFZ 69). Not high on my 1/18 list.

Re: FOV will no longer make 1/18 WWII figures

Has the political correct monster hit again? Didn't TRU stop selling WW2 stuff because it offended people to see "Nazi Toys"?.

Maybe with all the kids growing up on the GWOT, they figure that modern stuff will sell better.

could be a Stryker or an MRAP on the horizon?

Re: What WW 2 Armor Series Should Be Next ? Or E-10 full Bui

PH, The E-10 is a cool and easy build. I'd like to see a Hetzer though. the T38 chassis is full of potential. Funny, that we tend to pick the same things to build. I'm redeploying from Afghanistan, and while there I didn't have access to plasitic or tools of any quality. so I decided to experiment w...

Re: Lesser Known 1/32 Offerings

Intersting list. How did the Glenco kits scale out, they usd to mak a flying jeep; PT76; BTR50 and a Frog3. I think trumpter made a 1/32 type 59 when they first started up. I think matchbox may have released some of the renwall molds as well. Was the Revell(?) Nike-hurchles 1/32? I remember the old ...

the Academy M4A3E8 from their first release is a copy of the old Tamiya M4A3E8 from the 70's. A lot of the monogram, renwal, and Airfix 1/32 are being re-released as well! Love the atomin cannon!

Interesting. I found it on shapways about a week ago and ordered one. it shipped two days ago. won't be able to see it for a couple of more months (I'm in Afghanistan right now) but it's at the top of my lit of builds when I get home.

I also got your idler wheels for the PZ IV.

Great looking project. I haven't been able to follow the thread much (Government restrtictions on blog sites). I was suprised when it came up a couple of days ago. Most pictures are blocked (Govt. blocks photobucket, flicker, etc). well keep up the good work.

Re: 21st Rare 1:6 Tanks on ebay (not mine)

The Bradley sold at Toys-r-Us back around 2002. The Store Price was $289. At the time way out of my budget. They show up on ebay every now and then and go for about the same. Odd is that you almost never see the 1/9 Abrams.
